I’d say it mostly depends on who or what kind of image that it is, like if it’s a family member in a clearly sexualized image that would absolutely change things for many, but at the same time there’s no way in hell that they’d openly say that and even if they somehow could they’d never bring up charges anyway.

if you're inclined to give any fucks about solid confirmation about Joe being balls-deep with various international interests then you already weren't voting for him
it's nice to get more solid things about this but if him bragging "lol I got that guy fired" wasn't enough then this probably isn't enough to make a difference either

So are the public figures who have been swearing up and down that there's terrible Chinese hurtcore ceepee on the hard drive going to get sued into oblivion if the pizza turns out to be mere bikini pics ?

I'm more focused on the idea that the guy's family was making bank while the economy was probably still in the shitter and most of the jobs were gone.

Meh, if you have enough money, accountants, lawyers, and connections, white collar crime isn't hard to beat. It's complex and leaves quite a bit of room for concealing it, or reasonable doubt if you get caught. They tend to only go after obvious, egregious cases like Jordan Belfort, in which a non-ignorable number of people get fucked over.
