Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

yknow, i was trying to entertain the notion of "maybe chris will turn it all around". just trying to play a little devil's advocate.

he's gotta house, a car, unlimited free time; he could just hit the gym and scoop up thirsty bitches while getting high. he could have complete freedom for the first time in his life.
i would think, a small SMAAALLLLL chance, chris will be scared, and ask for help from his "buddies" at the bar.
maybe someone will take pity. and maybe, just maybe chris will learn to be greatful and improve himself
as he lives in another person's house, he learns what he needs to do.

nah, he would just flood their house with legos

Someone already designed a Lego casket so he's halfway there already.

Gradually in her hoard she tends to confuse Chris with her other son, the film critic; more and more, court hearings are not the only days she stays in bed: a morning arrives in November, a leafless birdless coming of winter morning, when she cannot rouse herself to exclaim: "Oh my, it's Q-Sand weather! It's Q-Sand weather!"

And when that happens, Chris knows it. He knows it.

I'm not sure what will happen, but we'll find out when police arrest the sixty-three old tranny at the deserted mall due to 'horrific body odor.' Then we'll find out that Barb has long since been dead and Chris has been living off her Social Security.

Ya'll think it's just going to happen one day and Christian will be completely unprepared. Barb knows it's gonna happen soon. Hell even Chris knows it's gonna happen soon. I'm sure Barb has at least a temporary plan for someone to step in and look after Chris Chan. Someone from church or a family friend. He won't be completely alone. You know he has some kinda family near DC and people in his church. Someone will be there for him after Barb goes.

However, Christian's plan is totally hilarious and non-feasable. He thinks the only logical solution is to find a Barb replacement sweetheart. He's literally getting worried and anxious about what will happen if he doesn't find a fuck mommy in time.

At first the logical things will occur. Chris will receive donations and support from the internet. People in her life will step up and help get Barb's funeral taken care of. After that, Chris will return to 14BC and try to go on living her life. Chris will ask for help immediately, and she'll get it right away. Living under a caretaker's supervision or a group home setting may really appeal to Chris once she is required to do it. I don't see Chris living at 14BC independently for a long time after Barb passes. Chris is a baby, she needs to be looked after.

Chris pretty much already does all the things needed to live independently: he pays the bills, he gets food and toiletries, he can drive wherever he needs to get to. It's not like he's going to suddenly forget how McDonald's works and starve to death in his bedroom. Hell, if he got rid of the hoard, I bet he can even cook simple meals for himself.

The biggest issue is going to be his shopping habits. He already spends ridiculous amounts of money on stupid shit, and when Barb dies he might start buying even more to try to ease his grief. That will be mitigated by losing Barb's pension/SSI and having less money, but I'm betting Chris won't get it at first and will have at least a few issues with missed payments before he finally gets it.
