Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

Someone would have to walk him through the process of funeral arrangement and take care of any final expenses. No idea is Barb has a will, life insurance or anything of value to leave Chris, but that could potential help him out for a bit.
If he wasn't forced into a group home he'd eventually fall behind on bills/payment. Maybe if he was lucky some poor soul- er, TRUE AND HONEST hero or local charity would help him out.

Essential be fucked is the ultimate answer.

Barb is already dead, she lost control of the Hoard after Bob's passing, and it turned on her. What we now refer to as Barb is merely an extension of the Hoard. Once her corpse has decayed sufficiently to be of no further use, the Hoard will turn on Chris in a similar fashion.

If Barb has a will it's no doubt been lost to the hoard or fire. I'm not sure what she'd have to give him in any case, except whatever Bob left to her.

I suppose Chris could have some of her old clothes? :\

Barb's hoard is an amalgamation of many horcruxes that extends to stealing Chris' non-lesbian soul as well as Barb's own. She will not die as long as the hoard survives and she holds the soul of classic Chris hostage.

I'm just a little drunk, forgive me.

Chris has been overmilked these days. From what I've seen, all we get anymore is the climaxes of stories that would have probably been a lot funnier if Chris was still vlogging his day to day life (becoming a tranny, getting arrested, etc.) My hope is that the distress from losing Barb sends him crawling back to the internet since he'll have nobody else to turn to. Maybe then we'll go back to having a regular supply of Sonichu comics and potential Sweethearts from the Ground-Up. Or maybe he'll shit himself and do nothing.

I wonder who the first person to find out about Barb's death will be, besides Chris, assuming she dies at home. Who will he turn to first?
Is he still in contact with Rocky? Otherwise, probably his lawyer (whether or not he's actually on retainer).

Nothing gold can stay, my friend.

Chris will go from cracked to broken. He will wake up each morning believing it to be a bad dream but each day his heart will shatter. He will attempt to fill the hole through some mean but his life will now be without purpose since the only things he will have to take care of are himself and the dogs.
Or he may commit to the least favourable option and end what life he has left in order to join his family once more.

I think it will break him (not permanently) and hopefully someone in the church will help him or put him in contact with someone that can. He'll probably start talking to Rocky again...assuming his tomgirl/Transgender lifestyle hasn't completely alienated him from that community. He really should have some sort of caregiver, but I can't see that working considering his reactions in the past and assertion that he is an adult high-functioning autistic and can take care of himself. I think deep down therapy and such terrifies him because he's afraid of being put in some sort of home for the mentally disabled. He has his parents to thank for that belief and it's really holding him back from getting the help he needs. Maybe with this court case they'll assign him to a psychiatrist who he feels comfortable with and can remain in contact with so the transition to life on his own won't be a damaging.

Perhaps it's telling that the speculation about what will happen when Barb dies is uninterested in Barb herself.

Is the sparsely attended and rote funeral service a given at this point?

If by "sparsely attended" you mean "Chris by himself" then yeah, it's a given. Barb's own family hides their addresses from her.

So, you hope something really distressing happening to Chris is the catalyst for him doing something that will lead to lots of little distressing things happening to him...
