This is a bit different. A trans woman was punched in the face in a restaurant for seemingly no reason. The strange thing is that neither in their post about it on Facebook, nor in the articles written about the incident, is it mentioned whether the attacker was male or female. I can't tell if the victim is trying not to ~assume their gender~ (which makes you wonder how the police description went) or if they are trying to leave it vague to suggest it was a violent TERF.
Eventually I did find one single article that describes the attacker as a man, though I'm not sure if they were actually in contact with the victim or are just stating the obvious. Yes, they are. And if a troon got caught jerking it on camera when he is supposed to be working, we would definitely use that to support distrust against them. You're absolutely right, the only difference is that you think it would be wrong to do so. The issue is not that the troon would be attacked, it's that people are defending the man.
