"We're not gonna take your guns, we're just gonna heap heavy legal burdens on you for owning your own property after the fact and arrest you if you don't comply!"

I wouldn't be so resentful of liberals if they didn't lie so compulsively.

And boating accident memes are funny and all, but if it's time bury your guns, then it's time to use them.
It's damage control because they know it would end very badly. With all the unrest there's been recently, a massive gun grab attempt might finally push the country over the edge into collapse, which no one really wants outside fringe movements. So they're pretending that they don't want that and are trying to memory hole the calls for bans they were making before this year's events.

Adding to this, the high profile publicised school/mass shootings like Parkland and El Paso petered out because the news cycle is focused on other stories and those crimes are driven by media attention. That's why we don't see that issue discussed as much anymore, despite the fact there's been masses of gun crime in cities this year.

If Trump gets muted during the National Security segment where he has the most room possible to hit Joe, I'd want Trump to call the moderator a criminal on the spot.
Mods don't have the button. Technical staff have them and candidates are allowed to have a staff member in the room to keep them honest. Only Trump has taken them up on the offer.

All right, I've cranked out an election map which shows how Biden will utterly dominate Drumph once and for all... I'm hoping to be Nate Silver's personal understudy...

yea, imagine ACKHSUAL threats popping up amidst utter chaos such as aryan bruddahood or real dangerous whackos that take advantage of intense chaotic unrest. You'll get people who don't really want to debate and really just intentionally kill anyone that's not 'with them' or they'l be part of collateral or accidental casualties/damage, and if that happens, then everyone who's maniacally killing may as well be antifa.

I wouldn't advise it but let's face it. The only reason Americans have legal guns is that the Democrat gun grabbers know if they send out the cops and ATF to seize all the guns them some percentage of gun owners are going to shoot it out rather than handing them over and the end result will be TV screens full of shoot outs for months. Otherwise, they'd have found some emanations of a penumbra that means that only the army and the cops are allowed to have guns and seized them from their political enemies.

Once you're disarmed you're meat on the hoof waiting for the barbecue.

So when antifa and hysterical leftists attempt obstructive practices outside polling stations on November 3rd, what can we reasonably expect in terms of recourse?
I don't think it will be a problem. ANTIFA trying to roll up on people that 100% support the second amendment will end badly for them. Remember last year when that guy tried to shoot up a church in Texas? He was dead before he could pull the trigger twice.

At least we know the allegations are real. Why else would they be already doing damage control like this?

The presidential candidate's son being exposed as a crackhead and a possible pedophile is categorized as "not really a story"? WTF. Who would say such a.....

Oh. Loyalty to the party?

If Trump gets muted theres no guarantee anyone would hear him call anyone anything.

I brought this up earlier but he could also do something visual, like point out the exact location of Biden's earpiece, creating an awkward moment of moderator damage control.

Also Crowder had some good reasoning why it's not even worth bringing up Hunter Biden at the debate, it just can't be explained clearly and quickly enough and even the facts sound crazy, wouldn't play well. Broadcasting Biden's own gun control and gun grabbing policies would probably actually work better, considering how unpopular gun control is now even on the left.

On national security, pro-Biden Iran interference just flopped onto the table yesterday as an official FBI announcement, Trump can just slap Biden around with it, maybe tie in the "inshallah" Biden randomly blurted out in the first debate. Biden would have a hard time spinning it as pro-Trump because it's Iran.

So what you're saying is that the big, fat Orange Man has to be a pantomime comedian in order to signal to Biden's fuckups?

The race is tightening. Don't fuck this debate up Trump, it's your last chance to win over voters.
I fully agree, I'm very worried about the debate and that pains me to say, I think it's going to be very bad for Trump. I've watched his rallies and his recent interviews and while it does deliver some nice soundbites to laugh at, he's not very convincing. He just keeps hammering his same (personally created) talking points and he needs to stop saying "numbers like you've never seen before". He needs to acknowledge the dire economic situation for many Americans. He keeps saying 11 million jobs created over the past months, but we lost about 17 million right? Also new unemployment claims are still abysmal. He needs stop pretending this isn't real and acknowledge it and but the blame properly where it belong, with China. He tries to do that to a certain extent but it's comes over as denying the reality. There are probably people telling him this but either he doesn't listen or he think he's smarter and think it's convincing. His base might eat it up, but he won't win any undecided voters by ignoring obvious facts. It's really infuriating to watch he can't agree with these economic facts.

He's very hit or miss in interviews, he keeps sticking to weak talking points, but then suddenly he comes out of nowhere with a quick answer indicating he really knows what's going on and this often covers the same topic. I don't get it.

That already happened with Waco in the 1990s. There was a major wave of gun grabbing sentiment around then, culminating in the 1994 Clinton gun ban, but the political backlash made it die down.

The real issue is that he's used to preaching to the choir endlessly, and that doesn't win over independents.
