Y'know the biggest flaw 2020 Trump has over 2016 Trump is he has a record to stand by this time, meaning he'll be scrutinised for shit that happened on his watch. This is true, and he rightfully should be held to account.
However, what nobody in the DNC picked up on was, out of ALL the candidates they had, going with Joe means he has an 8 year record of his own to defend. While Trump 4D chessed his way into consolidating his base even further with his debate performances, Joe exposed on both occasions that, not only are there policy rifts from 2016 that the Dems still haven't mended, but that their electoral coalition is fundamentally broken.
