Pretty much. Yeah the main characters are black and the villains are white people, yeah it deals with racism but it's presented in a more historically accurate way than this blaxploitation style shit the show is in. The book is set in 1954 ffs and the main dude is writing "the safe negro travel guide," and there actually were books like that. None of the characters act the way they did in the book and unless I forgot a part of it, there wasn't a whole lot of vitriolic why pipo bad in there.

If anything, the book should make people thankful that kind of racism isn't socially acceptable anymore but we can't have that message as it ruins the narrative, so let's use this as a jumping off point to spread racism...which is exactly what they hate the villain for.

After last night's performance the choice between Trump and is Biden is more the choice Reality and Unhinged Indoctrination. Biden lied the entire time, chose the worst positions on every issue, and was the stereotypical phony politician. While Trump's no saviour, and most republicans are probably a lot more like Biden (Crenshaw, Cawthorne, and Pompeo et. al can eat all the dicks), but Trump did do a pretty good job of representing reality, in a way that people almost never get to see. The medias, the education system - everything - feeds us unrelenting unreality. Seeing Trump break through that at certain points, in certain ways, is nothing short of remarkable.

Choosing Biden is choosing eternal shackles, while Trump at least represents potential and hope.
