I can't remember where I saw the article, but I believe it was one of Obama's officials that would have been involved with the pandemic response basically saying "yeah we did everything wrong, we just got insanely lucky that swine flu wasn't anywhere near as deadly as it could have been." Couple that with Wu Flu death/case numbers being exaggerated (anyone dying with the coof is counted as dying of the coof; hospitals have a financial incentive to lie about how many coof cases they're dealing with since they get paid extra for each one), and it's clear to me that Trump handled this about as well as could be expected. The only way it could have been better was to go the Sweden route and isolate the most vulnerable while everyone else builds up herd immunity, like literally every other disease outbreak has gone in history, except this one.
