I've met plenty of people of all races that I've enjoyed being around, unfortunately though I've met far more black people in particular who are violent, sensitive, obnoxious or often downright dangerous. This doesn't necessarily mean that I hate them outright, or that I instantly see a black person and become filled with rage. While certainly there is a cultural component and the effect of poverty which has resulted in our black neighbors doing...not so well, the statistics seem to indicate a trend that no matter whether they find themselves in a shitty situation or an ideal situation, wherever they live, their communities will be embroiled with crime, violence, broken homes and other forms of dysfunctional, anti-social behavior. Poverty, culture and shitty education most definitely play a role and I don't doubt it for a minute. But if you compare the most impoverished, broken, lack-of-opportunity areas in this country, in pretty much every single case, you'll find higher rates of violent crime in predominantly black areas. Impoverished white areas have plenty of crime, but the crimes themselves differ. Drug trafficking, theft and domestic violence are big problems in impoverished white communities, no doubt. But crimes like murder, rape, armed robbery and assault are almost always much more common in impoverished black majority areas.
I guess my point is, racism doesn't form in a vacuum, and it definitely doesn't develop overnight. Nobody hates another race simply because they look different, or because they talk differently, or because they wear dreadlocks. Quite often, I've found, some of the reasons are actually quite compelling and no matter how you filter the statistics, it's nigh impossible to refute. I would [and I imagine everyone else would, too] like it if the black community proved me wrong, got their shit together, and began to address the problems in their communities and weed out the bad apples of their own volition. They're really the only ones who could do it, and no amount of 'reparations' or tax revenue or policing or stern lectures will get it done. They have to do it themselves. Most of the "prejudiced" people you'll met have infact tried the "let's all hold hands and sing kumbayah, coexist maaaann" method at least a few times. Hell, Gen X, Millennials and Zoomers have all been raised and thoroughly educated to do just that. I know I certainly tried it for a long time, hell, I was a hippie during high school and went out of my way to try and make friends with a variety of people. I found that, in many cases, they didn't want to be friends, they didn't even want to be amicable, and in many cases they either just tried to shake me down, stole my shit, or expected something out of me for nothing. That kind of idealism, while pleasant and a nice thought, isn't very utilitarian and in many cases could get you hurt or even killed. It has before. Not only that but it's rather naive.
Unfortunately I no longer believe they are able to do this, and if they cannot function in our society, or if they infact [as they often do] insist on not functioning in our society to prove some point, then I don't have any interest in living with them or trying to help them in any way. It's not even necessarily an IQ problem, though that's part of it. Frankly, different races evolved for different climates. White people often have more body hair because they hail from cold climates. Black people have dark skin to prevent sunburn as they live in very hot climates. So on and so forth. Different breeds of dog have different temperaments, behaviors, skills and abilities. I don't see why that wouldn't also apply to human beings. I don't even necessarily think that any race is inherently inferior to another, we're simply geared toward different climates, skills and civilization types. Furthermore I think much of the violence we see in the black community is due to the fact that they have been forced to live in a civilization that doesn't work for them in the slightest. However if we bend over backwards to make concessions so that our civilization will work for them, everyone else [most of whom are able to coexist to some extent] will be put out as a result and they then will begin to suffer.
