Some amendment to my criticism of the hollywood god documentary. the opening bored me but i think i was wrong about the need for a through line since once i was shown things that made me care about the subject like his religion or big brained blackface tactics i had more fun with it than a lot of things even if i did have to make my own connection to it. one of my biggest issue with most media using techniques like guiding music or even jims videos is they insist on one way of viewing things and i found more freedom in ppps video than theirs, i also hated how different events were taken as happening exactly as jim said or people ignoring anything before or outside of the jim videos concerning those topics because he would present one narrative as absolute truth.

PPP can be funny, but the last few things he's done have been pretty average- The Jarbo-spergery, that "Mr and Mrs Laurant" thing. I can see why PPP ended the Ralph fixation- ending it was better than fucking it into the ground, but he needs a new focus. He's seemed kinda lost since since Ralph

At the beginning of the Matt arc, I did enjoy how bloodsports was taken to an absurdist extreme with a redemption arc being cancelled over which movies a former wrestler was in. I'm kind of over this instalment now, but I was hoping for HG to get drawn in for some ultrautistic threeway movie shouting

Just look at this summer's corn harvest. Want to hear about an obscure figure? You get a Hollywood God doc or some esoteric content creators he highlights. Want a unique cooking show? Surfer time. Some reviews? Got that too. He'll talk about everything from e-drama, sports, movies, politics, wrestling, books, religion, etc. While not all the content is for everyone, you can definitely find something.

However it just seems like people want him to a-log or they have a plan just want to unleash a sperg on someone. PPP's content is sometimes sperging, but the interesting thing is the 2019 from what I gather from watching an archive channel, it was more like original Youtube content, where you are just kind of peeking in and listening to a guy. Now even if it starts out cozy, if you saw the last stream, there's ops and badgering him to do stuff.

I think letting things die down on the drama front for a while is smart for PPP for about a million reasons. It keeps the super sperg fan boys to a minimum, it helps ensure he's staying fun and original, it lets him explore his other interests, and it give people who he wants to fuck with time to get complacent and make mistakes.
