uh wtf

how were you able to pay for the phone plan? was it one of those pay by the minute ones?
I didn't. It has wifi.

Remember, this was a while ago.

XFINITY was prevalent in the area. Every Comcast customer router also emits an XFINITYWIFI signal.

Back then, all you had to do was provide a fake email address and agree to a ToS and you'd have 1 hour of free wifi.

They'd log your MAC address so you couldn't just spam it for free wifi.

Rooted phones can change the MAC address of their wifi chip by editing a system file and restarting the phone.

Most towns also have public libraries, so other wifi while out and about was never an issue.

Most electric street lamps have outlets in them as well, plus McDonalds, starbucks, let you plug in.
it'd be funnier if you actually did it faggot
Yeah, probably. Sorry to deny you entertainment.

Not really. It's a thing that Comcast did for the public so customers would always have access to wifi. They're firewalled so you can't just get into someone else's PC.

It was only on comcast rented routers as well.
