Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

@Fathead I have a question, maybe Nasser could clear it up too. Let's say you wanted to do another print run and put Brutus back in demand or sell copies on eBay. Do you still have to split those profits with Nasser or was the deal just for the money made on the IGG run?

Because if Brutus is going to be a limited print run, there is a chance down the road for it to be valued as a collector's item because of it's rarity.

But then again most CG stuff could be considered limited print runs, so I guess the bigger question would be is there a chance years down the road where a lot of CG stuff could be worth money as collectors items because of their rarity?
He would still have to pay.

Let's see if he even bothers to pay me for the campaign first 🙄

You know who also did this?

The guy who financially ruined himself because he wanted to make Baby Geniuses movies forever. It's not enduring if the creator is an insane retard who just wants to go homeless in favor of this.

Certainly not endearing... but Wildcats, Youngblood & Wetworks are in various stages of gone & forgotten. SD was forgotten, just not gone. They shoot horses, don't they?

WildCATS characters are going in and out of the DC Universe. Same with the other WILDStrom teams and books. Stormwatch/The Authority was a fondly remembered book, but I am not so sure after Warren Ellis' cancelling.

But Shadowhawk, CyberForce, Youngblood (plus the other 20 franchises Rob kicked off) and Wetworks are so forgotten you missed most of them.

I’ve been reading the marvel ultraman and it’s a lot of fun. Also looking forward to the last ronin TMNT spin-off.

Anyone got any good horror recs with fun synopsis?

Horror recs: Rachel Rising, Hack/Slash (goes downhill after omnibus 2, but 1-2 are great), Beautiful Darkness (french comic translated to English), Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Afterlife with Archie.

I'm not trying to "save comics." The idea makes me physically ill.

I'm trying to make it so that I can do comics. Everyone else in the mainstream can go fuck themselves. I only care about people buying and reading CYBERFROG.

So that means I have to find a way to circumvent the SJW mainstream gatekeepers that pretend I'm The Devil. YouTube and having a good connection with my customer base is a good substitution for the marketing arm of Warner Bros, Disney and the Direct Market. It's free, it's limitless in scope and potential, and it's easy.

If other people want to come along with me, as you see, they might be able to do so, as long as they are an asset to my main purpose.

Which is selling CYBERFROG.

Zack used to love Ray Kroc, and idolize him. I wonder if Ray Kroc ever felt like it was his purpose to "create a new industry" based around people enjoying "good food," or if it was always only about Ray Kroc putting money in his own pocket, and building up McDonalds?

Well, that's a lie. I never thought about setting up publishing in such a way that "anyone" might message me about having their "products published under ALL CAPS."

The idea has always been to slowly build ALL CAPS out from CYBERFROG and REIGNBOW THE BRUTE to be able to hire more people to work on MY properties in long term contracts. And "slowly" is the operative word, because I can't be sure if my ideas will sell with creators other than me working on them. I am miraculous, singular, and inimitable. Does it need to be me, or can someone else draw a CYBERFROG series?

The world doesn't need more comics. The world needs more of MY comics.

Two exceptions, I'd be interested in publishing JAWBREAKERS and GRAVEYARD SHIFT, because they've already demonstrated their commercial success, and Zack and Malin are good dudes.

And the answer is YES, people are constantly asking me to publish them or hire them. But my answer is no. The people I'd bend my own rules for would certainly be able to make their own vanity presses, which is all any of us should do.

Thanks, but I'll be the one kicking people out of ComicsGate. Not you.

If Ethan hadn't been the first to call it "Comicsgate", he's certainly is the one who consistently claims the most ownership of it. So now, if Ethan is right and he's not about saving comics or becoming a fair-minded publisher for those non-SJWs out there (which was THE message he was putting out there 2 years back), then Comicsgate should truly and rightfully be called Scivergate. He can't have his Comicsgate and eat it too.

We have to remember that Sciverfraud's brand of CG includes having the privilege of being promoted by him and associated with him. The further this goes on and the more he monologues like a big bloviating bloated throat sac that he is, he's going to run out of good will. As in the past he will have to figure out a way to insert more grift from other sources, more parodies like Reignbow Brute, possibly a return to Star Wars, and more allies as he alienates his previous set of associates. On his own, he's too shallow and meaningless to carry any lasting message through his comics.

Hell, he's bamboozled so many people that even some of those ranting autists in the Fandom Menace think he created CG.

Young Clint's been growing just a little bit more of a pair, recently. Not a bad thing if it helps him cut some apron strings like this.

Oops, 404. Never mind, Gomer Pyle has been looking at it too.

Here's an older trailer and video from the creator.

And the Indiegogo link.

I don't have much to do with video games, so I don't have the experience or interest to know if it looks good or bad for 2020. I just assume it's a cheap tie-in, tickling the egos of CG/adjacent creators and enticing the faithful CG proles. Some in Zack's comments agree with @Crescent Fresh and think it looks too basic and lazy. More seem to be creaming their shorts at the possibility of playing as a potato-shaped freeloading failure - and here I thought Comicsgate's mantra was about escapism from real life.

Have you guys like....never seen an actual one man team indiegogo game project before?

He isn't selling *this*. This IS a tech demo. The entire point is to get funding to hire more people to flesh the game out for real.

Now personally I don't trust Indiegogo game development enough to ever back the games, but complaining that it looks like a tech demo? Yeah, that's exactly what it is right now. This is what they look like from single coders/artists usually.

I’m well aware that he isn’t selling this.

At the same time, however, what he has here is basically an asset flip in all regards except the character models. It does not inspire confidence that he’ll actually be able to deliver the full product.

That’s really not the main issue, though. The main issue is what his stated plans for the funds are: A new computer and “a programmer”, for $10K. If he gets more, then he’ll look into “an artist”.

Not having anyone already lined up for either job is a pretty major red flag. “How will the full game actually look? We have no idea, and are flying totally blind here!”

Why do I have to own ComicsGate or publish anyone? Why can't I just continue to be part of ComicsGate, doing my own thing, and promote people I want to promote?

It sounds like you're acknowledging that I'm the leader of ComicsGate, while others here are saying I've never been ComicsGate.

A lot of predictions have been made about how alienating "associates" is going to hurt me, but it never happens. I maintain my livestream audience and sell lots of comics while those who oppose me perish.

REIGNBOW BRUTE came from a drawing video I did at the beginning of my channel. Fans have been demanding his comic. It is going to be bigger than CyberFrog.

It'd be great if you learned something eventually.

This is an actual grift.

Andrew Huerta--one-time cover artist of CG Jumpstart, former ally of WC, &, I believe, co-owner of the "Wild Style Comics" label/imprint with Donal Delay--finally posted an "update" on his 17-month late IGG. Well, not really an update. Not an apology, either. It's a "hope":

He hopes to get to work on the book, maybe, at some point, if he can find the time, next month, maybe later. How fucking tone-deaf can you get?

Cridious at least threw himself on the mercy of CG, insincere as he may have been. Donal comes up with excuses--"boxes & boxes of comics got rained on." But this is basically "Fuck you" to his backers; "I'm busy making money, my "passion project" is low priority, but here are some indecipherable scribbles."

There are only a few comments since he posted this "update", but this one sums it up:
