Honestly I am surprised I haven't heard more "WE HAVE TO CLOSE THE VOTING BOOTHS OR EVERYONE WILL DIE FROM CORONA" stuff as of yet. I assumed there would be a ton of propaganda INFORMATION about how voting places are the perfect breeding ground of filth and disease.
That would run counter to the massive "vote in person" ad campaign the media/entertainment amalgamation has been running for a few weeks now.

I'm not picking on you, but how exactly are they hanging themselves? Twitter and Facebook are two of the richest and most influential companies on the planet, and Dorsey and Zuckerberg are disgustingly wealthy personally. This kind of news about Facebook deploying "measures" to influence political unrest is actually quite frightening and I read it as more of an arrogant flexing of their power, secure in the knowledge that the government has nobody in it that will hold them accountable for the incalculable societal damage they've caused.

This borders on doomerism, but I am genuinely concerned about the amount of power these companies have. Between Google, Twitter, and Facebook, they've created the most immense and pervasive psychological warfare and spying apparatus in history. I realize the DOJ has recently made noises about busting up Google, but it seems to me that we've moved past the point where antitrust measures will be adequate to address the problem and into the realm of "literally declare them enemy nations and go to war." It will be interesting to see if a second term Trump (assuming he wins) will even be able to make a dent in their metastasizing growth.
It does genuinely feel like "Too little too late" on a lot of things in this time we reside in. Decency is too far gone, average intelligence and common sense are too far gone, integrity is too far gone, the overriding majority of the power is in the hands of those who want nothing but destruction and corruption, the true is dead and buried, absolutely everything's gone to shit over a goddamn flu with no end in sight and the world elites are already brazenly putting forward their plans in plain view for a dystopian hellhole. It's extremely hard to see any hope for the future at this rate.

Trump of all people has been one of the few factors that has been trying to hold this back, and if he's gone by next year what little he's managed to accomplish will be undone in an instant and America will die. Not in a blaze of glory as it would have in decades past, but in a slow, sniveling whimper.

This year has been breaking me little by little and it's getting me so close to chomping on that black pill. A Trump loss would be the coup de grace that'd get me to swallow the damn thing whole...

Bets on Pyrite killing himself when Trump wins? He already has the "Just Fuck My Shit Up™️" look on point.
I don't think he would kill himself, but his career HAS to be over if Trump wins. He's completely failed at pushing the narrative if Trump wins.

Ironically, if he was predicting Biden to win 55-45 and Trump won, Nate could probably save his ass. But two straight elections of Trump winning after saying Hillary/Joe were massive favorites and ABC will pull the plug at that point. They've already decreased his influence when they took him off ESPN and sportsbetting. 538 was so bad at sportsbetting that people were actually money just doing the opposite of what they said. Losing this election would be the coup de grace.

Is there anyone, left, right, or center, that does NOT despise them at this point?
Cuomo and De Blasio are the perfect example of why the primaries are so important.

NYC/NYS are going to vote democrat, so the only way to get them out is someone going against them in the primaries. The problem is that the DNC might shun anyone that does that (see Gabbard, Tulsi). That's how those assholes stay in power.

Frank Luntz openly said his career was riding on this election. Why would they tie their lives to an event determined by a specific three digit number?

A Trump win will be blamed on fraud, hacking or Russia, Dems wont consider it any more legitimate than 2016, and Nate will be back to his usual routine in 2024.

because it sounds really dramatic
Terry Funk retired like seventy times in the four thousand years he's been wrestling and it never stuck, but it sounded really dramatic when it happened.

Regardless of who wins, fraud will be the reason why for the losers. I mentioned it earlier but as it stands I can't see Trump losing fairly. Biden has barely campaigned and when he does it's basically a small group meet. His strongest moment so far in the eyes of his supporters has been "Shut up man!"

He doesn't use Trafalgar in his models, but has no problem with national polls that say Biden is up double-digits?
His models are fucking junk too, even before he feeds them junk data.

I saw a link where some PhD level statistics students were discussing the fact that when feeding different scenarios into Nate Silver’s model, it still gave Trump relatively low electoral college win chances even in absurd conditions such as him winning CA or NJ.

I’m fully convinced that they come up with the narrative first then cram the numbers in to match. That’s not exactly a new take here, but whatever.

Some TDS is just ranting and people getting it out of their system, especially if it’s infrequent posting. However, many are insane imo and are permitting their dislike of Trump to dominate every aspect of their life. I know people who are like that for other politicians but Trump seems to bring out emotions in people: Adulation by his fans, hatred by his detractors.

They all have contracts with multiple agencies, the military, states, activists, etc.
Pre-election TDS was so bad at my friend group that we enforced a ban on even mentioning him.

@GuntPunt mentioned that yesterday.
Someone reversed engineered Nate Plastic's model and reaffirmed what everyone knew: that his model is bullshit.

In my opinion, Trump already has IA/OH/NC/GA/FL/TX in the bag. When you select all those states on 538 and give them to Trump, Trump's chances go all the way from 12% up to 59%.
