On polling, harry reid's wikileaks content was very revealing. Oversample dems, if real split is polled at 33 percent dem and 33 percent r, sample your poll with 35 dem and 31 repub. A tie is now dem plus 4.

Targeting left leaning independents by focussing polling areas like colleges skews it further.

Then you have the legendary shy votes, by their nature impossible to accurately quantify. But they're expected to heavily favor trump.

They ran Biden for the same reason GOP ran Romney in 2012. They didn't want to waste a good candidate on a certain loss.

A better example is Dole in 1996. It was almost a gold watch upon his retirement. But the initial premise is wrong. There is no shadowy group of masters controlling things. It's far more disorganized and far worse. Biden ended up consolidating Democrats because he is not Bernie. The Democrats were an inch from nominating a guy who isn't and never has been a Democrat. This all arises from the insane move to primaries, which in most states don't require that a person voting in the patty's primary even be registered in that party. There's much to criticize about candidates being chosen in conventions, but those candidates were on average a fuckload better than the ones chosen by primaries.

I've freaking had it with Joe Biden or rather the "Democrats" 2020 Presidential candidate/campaign. This is a complete joke. This man is not only barely cognizant now, but there is no way there will be anything left of him a year or two from now.

He and his political allies are not stumping across the country nor is he and his running mate hardly answering any questions whenever pressed (which is rare). This is not a candidate for office period.

On another note, as I said to my brother. I would not base what a celebrity, former rapper, who is bankrupt with the general black man. 50 already sold out, he was reminded that what he has left could be taken away. That's what happened here.

Either way it shouldn't be surprising once you know some recent history. Black people have been treated pretty poorly throughout the US history even excluding slavery. Theres a deep mistrust of white people because of that, and the Republicans decided to be the "white" party. That's going to help them moving forward but that identity hurts them with some people.

The Republicans did not decide to be the “white” party. The Democrats went in hard on becoming the “minority” party. They literally spent millions of dollars to take the black vote in the inner city via welfare and social programs. Republicans didn’t have fast responses to smears because they didn’t need them back then, Democrat media control took decades of work to make that smear stick. Remember that at the end of things the Republican ideal is to just let bygones be bygones and work together. They need to go for a full wipe of the opposition regardless of the consequences, but good luck convincing anyone of that other than Trump, McConnell, and Barr. Everyone else is too comfortable to do anything drastic. Never forget that the media has been pulling the wool over your eyes for over 50 years when it comes to race relations.
