Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 have not aged as badly as some say they have

I don't mind quick-time events.
I know they often got a lot of shit for their cameras, but outside of slower paced stuff like the hub worlds in 1 as well as the emerald hunt and fishing stages, it wasn’t really an issue. Most of the linear platform stages the camera would move into position for you.Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 have not aged as badly as some say they have
Oh yeah I dont always agree with gaming brit but hes absolutely right that first walking segments are a plague on modern gamingI think Gaming Brit put it best when he said “I’d rather a quick-time event that lasts seconds than a walking segment that lasts minutes”

This probably has been mentioned a ton of times before but, i've never liked how romanticized difficulty in the 8-bit era is. I've seen it a lot in all these years, people saying "they don't make good games anymore, good hard games like Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden" and i say, really?. Castlevania with its stiff controls and knockback and Ninja Gaiden with countless bottomless pits, knockback and enemies respawning in mid-air, it's that what is supposed to be good challenging games?
Granted, i'll admit i'm probably in the wrong here, i started playing videogames near the end of the 16-era, by 1995 stiff jumps and knockback where mostly gone, so i didn't grow up with any love for Castlevania's control scheme.
>paying 90-100 dollars for a somewhat functional game because the DLC is promised to fix it despite the base game being average at bestPokemon Sword & Shield aren't as bad as advertised, just kind of mediocre. The DLC's are pretty good and hopefully are a sign of things to come.
That's fair, but I'm not really in the mood for an RPG of DQ11's length right now. Part of what makes Pokemon so appealing is you can get into it quickly, get what you want out of it and put the game down.>paying 90-100 dollars for a somewhat functional game because the DLC is promised to fix it despite the base game being average at best
Funny you can buy Dragon Quest 11 for far cheaper and the game just works.
You are ventilated in just 4 secs by the police in gta online it's like you need an armored car to play that one mission without yourself dying. After going back and playing Vice City, I think GTA VI should take a page from the last generation and strip you of all your weapons and armor when you're busted or wasted. And for that matter, make it plain old easier to be ventilated from just a few baddies on-screen.
IV and V were a nice experience but as games, boy they could be forgettable and dull. III and Vice City had the fast-paced wacky action down and having some real consequence for failure helped quite a bit.

Between 10 minute loading times, you mean. Armored Kurumafags get the RPG.You are ventilated in just 4 secs by the police in gta online it's like you need an armored car to play that one mission without yourself dying.
Semi-agree; I thought San Andreas just edged VC out, personally. I always thought Vice City Stories never got enough love, either. IV and V are still trash, though. :pVice City was the best GTA.

5 was the only gta I could finish the story on. I loved Trevor, fucking degenerate always doing shady shit when you switched over to him.Vice City had some really fun ideas like the super cops, I wish there was a story and missions around that because it was fun.
She always looked like a red-headed female Alfred E. Newman to me. She's also a boring mary-sue who was cloned from an even bigger mary-sue.I haven't played HZD (yet), but Aloy is really cute.

Thank you! I hate Michael's family so fucking much, and it sucks so hard that the entire plot of the game beats him down for wanting to punish them for their misdeeds. The whole god damn game seems like it was designed specifically to cuck Michael and beats you over the head with it non-stop.
I find GTA V's story rushed.Don't forget about Lamar being nothing but a worthless, childish nigger that did everything in his power to make Franklin's life a nightmare.
Her concept art was betterI haven't played HZD (yet), but Aloy is really cute.
