The only humane solution is to send them home. You're either oppressing them with iron rules to stop them from acting on their inclinations, or forcing the rest of society to knuckle under and accept the violence they deal to everyone around them (while also supporting them). Neither of the latter are humane.

This paper was submitted to the 2020 Annual Conference of the Association of Internet Researchers. Seems to me it is the usual feminism as religion masquerading as social science garbage, but it has caused a huge sperg out on Twitter. (PDF of paper is attached below.) TERFdom? If the authors were even half-serious, they would have provided samples of research proposals that mentioned Gamergate. This thing looks like an abstract but is far far far too long to be one.

First of all, if you gave a black kid a piece of fruit instead of a fun-sized Milky Way, you’d probably get the Miss Celie two-finger curse put on you: “Until you do right by me, every piece of candy you think about … ” Secondly, you don’t wanna mess with black people’s kids. That's not true at all! Halloween for black people - kids and adults - in my area involved them robbing white kids of their candy, ganging up on old people handing out candy and robbing them. Having to come home from trick-or-treating to find my parents dejected and terrified after being intimidated and robbed by blacks for all of their candy - again - was always a nice cap for the holiday.

And perhaps Halloween is the whitest holiday of them all. It is a day dedicated to all things dark and scary. It must be nice to have so much privilege that you need to set aside a day to be afraid. Do you know what day feels like Halloween for black people? The days that end in "y." The days where either the sun shines or the moon glows. All the days.
