just allow businesses to sue the city government more easily for negligence. rioters do it because they know they won't be stopped; remove the things getting in the way of stopping them, by threatening the personal income of the legislators vis a vis threatening the taxpayer bucks they leech from. Ideally this would be opening up individual council members to litigation, but even just hitting the org on the whole more reliably would provide businesses a means of striking back against orgs which are going out of their way to fuck them in the ass for the "revolution"

There was something taught in May-June and it has fucked the country up since; if there is a critical mass of rioters the city will descend into anarchy as police will be overstreched and be unable to respond.

That's where the National Guard and maybe some armed citizens with common sense would come in handy. At the very least they could watch over some businesses so the cops could pay attention to other areas.

Personally, I just ditched social media altogether. I don't use it any more. I keep in touch with friends via email, WhatsApp and even letter which has been lovely.
