Ooh, just reminds me that Sentai Filmworks is still gonna be out there. If FUNimation voice-actors are going to move to LA, they're going to leave Sentai behind. Their pool's not as big as-is, but it's going to make their dubs non-existent unless they can get new talent to fill in for them. They seem to be doing just fine with sub-only releases, though, but I don't see them dropping dubbing so easily.

Like it's gonna be no big loss to have Monica leave Sentai, but like I've kept saying, she does better at Sentai than at FUNimation because Sentai at least gives me that feeling they actually give a shit, and so they have better voice-directors there. The To-Love RU debacle has been their only controversy that could potentially harm sales, they've otherwise been a fine studio who actually caters to their audience.

Wasn't there some twat who basically said she wanted Vic to kill himself and then when poeple called her out on it, she started chimping and backpeddaling and screaming about people putting words into her mouth even though she literally said she wouldn't mind if he ended up dead in some ditch or something?

DC Comics under Warner Brothers/ ATT shut down the New York HQ and moved everyhting to LA where it's all much closer so their deparments can work more efferent and cut cost but bring in more profits. I can see Sony doing this and making the funi section move to be closer to the main company so everything can be watched and made sure things work as they should.

Then COVID really shook up the entertainment business is a very bad way which it will never recover from.

If you think the answer is “They offered absolutely fucking nothing” then you are correct! They stopped giving any hotel room reimbursement by saying they provided “reduced price” rooms over at the Sheraton.
Yeah... because guest relations staff really need to stay more than a 20~30 minute walk away from their guests... They demand you be available Wed-Mon, be at the beck and call of the guests, and in my case be there to put out any fires the other handlers have, but stopped giving any kind of reimbursement other than the free badge which you don’t get to use if you’re in Guest Relations because you’re expected to be tethered to your guest the entire weekend.
Yeah... I’m sure that played zero part in me wanting to leave...
