We know from that furry con that got cancelled that Lou had the money for it in his bank account even as he begged so he could attend. So I believe he thinks of money differently depending on where it is. Money in the bank is for a purpose or for the bigger wants he thinks of as needs, money in PayPal is entirely for his own pleasure.

If Lou had even a circle of acquaintances rather than a couple of brainless sycophants, he would definitely find out how much of an asshole his latest attack on a stranger would be received.
