I saw that when it came out. While it wasn't a focal point of that documentary, if I recall correctly there was a part where a long time cop tried to clean up some trash in a neighborhood that druggies had left all around. The dude got formally reprimanded for who the fuck knows why, and that made him decide to go ahead and just retire. If that sort of thing is common then cities like that are going to get far worse in the next few years because no one is going to want to be a cop there. Typically as a job becomes less and less desirable, the employer has to pay more and more to get people to do it or hire more and more undesirable people.
This exact thing you're describing is happening to chefs and cooks throughout the years. If you work at a restaurant, there's a very good chance that there's going to be one or two people who are felons working there. People have to constantly watch out for the cash register or the safe against co workers stealing shit, along with just stealing small shit in general. It's pretty common to see some people smoking weed or meth before going into work right outside in the parking lot. Not to mention people deciding to skip work to get high or because they're pissed that they were scolded for stealing shit. It's horrible working in a kitchen these days

Welcome to every major American city in 15 years.

If it brings on the starship troopers future then I say bring on the age of unrest. Heinlein was a fucking prophet. Western civilization is on perfect track.

Great federalism in Europe? Yep.

Pathological support in technocrats and scientists to run countries? Yep.

Hordes of disaffected young people? Yep.

Public schools that exist to make kids dumber and having no ties to the state or their society? Yep.

Rising tensions with China? Yep.

Literally the only two blocks that hasn't been ticked yet are a full on war with china, the west losing, and our societies finally plunging into total anarchy as all the above problems cause the rotting edifice to crumble

I keep hearing that Walter Wallace Jr's family called for an ambulance because he was having mental health problems and the police came instead. OF COURSE THEY DID! No EMT is going to walk into a situation where there's a large crazy man wielding a knife without police. Even if the family didn't call for cops, I promise you the medics called them to secure the area.

How did so many people get to adulthood without looking up in the rain and drowning?
There are non profits out there that train Officers both in classrooms and via ride alongs on how to handle mental health crisis calls, with the goal of training the officer to be able to talk down the person so they can get the mental health help they need. But the fact is sadly, some people are just too far gone, all bets are off when the person is armed and starting to run to a cop (or bystander) at that point its now "Who dies, the cop/bystander or the assailant". Its tragic yes, but you can not blame the cop for acting in defense of their own self and/or community, even if the cop had a PhD in psychology with a focus on mental health crises you can't talk down everyone.

Yet people fail to understand that.
They should’ve been asking themselves why Detroit, not once, has been apart of the mass riots. Acouple people here or there and of course, the college sjw fucktards in Grand Rapids or Lansing but Detriot? Nope. Why? The majority left there are the black community and they are living in the aftermath of going full woke and running everyone out. Im pretty sure getting your trash picked up once a month and no cops is fun for those residence
Also the police chief seems to have a no bullshit policy when people try to start shit.
No it isnt
Detroit has its problems and a lot of them at that, but in the past 10 years or so it has been getting better, companies that once moved out of Detroit are coming back, large companies that once started in the Northern suburbs are moving to Detroit. Detroit is in recovery mode, and it rising from the ashes once again, it will be slow and have its growing pains, but absent another major riot the long term future of Detroit looks promising (maybe not as good as the golden era but something way better then what the post 68 riot left Detroit). I think a good amount of residents of Detroit know this and don't want to see it go back, even when people tried to start shit in Detroit back in July, even the most liberal of places such as the Detroit subreddit were condemning those who tried to start shit including the msm outlet that was spreading the lies.

Its because for like 40 years they ran the woke train in detroit. Ran out everyone, voted in not 1, not 2, but 3 corrupt mayors that all ended up in jail for money laundering, racketeer and more. I remember when obama refused to bail them out and we got to see like a flood of shit happen like 3 counties over. The city couldn’t keep all the lights on so some neighborhoods near the city would have No lights on the street on or the city buildings would be completely dark. It was surreal. Detroit remembers it. They remember being asked to burn your fucking trash because they couldn’t afford for trash pickup days anymore. They didnt riot because they already know the answer to what other cities like portland and Philly are doing now. It aint a good one

Say hello to Walter Wallace Jr. Because of this guy Philly is burning.
Walter Wallace Jr had 13 mugshots between the age of 18 and 27.

Reminder - He threatened police officers with a knife and after they told him multiple times to drop the knife and after he wanted to attack them they opened fire.
Good riddance.

Yeah I am not disagreeing but I do think Chief Craig plays a large roll in keeping the riots form happening. If he was cucked like the other police chiefs (and this goes for the Mayor too), it wouldn't matter what the citizens of Detroit didn't want this, the police would have been standing down one way or the other.

Chief Craig isn't the Police Chief Detroit Deserves (they deserve so much less), but the one they need. I hope Craig stays police chief for Detroit for a long time.
