Surely from our p.o.v. we should hope he goes not guilty? A guilty plea is one of the only things that could conceivably count in his favour during sentencing.
If he insists on a trial, he'll probably get the maximum sentence, but Amber has to suffer through it. If he pleads guilty, he'll probably get less time, but Amber doesn't have to do anything else, and she can go on with her life. I for one hope he pleads out, just to spare her. He'll probably still get 15-20 years. I dunno how parole works in Pennsylvania so I don't know how much of his sentence he has to serve before he's eligible.
