Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Uh...hello, based department? I'd like to report something.

"They hated him for he spoke the truth."

Unironically, why is Biden in Texas? I'm surprised he wasn't shot for threatening oil and guns. Here, he gets off easy for being heckled.
it says a lot about the low turnout that Joe hears and responds to some rando who isn't even raising his voice
like, standup comics wouldn't even bother with some asshole in the front row going "you're not funny" at that basic volume level

Add in the tiny crowd chanting "We want Joe!" to drown out the dissenting noise and Joe's still losing focus to one guy rightfully heckling him.

Jesus I thought Bernie was a cuck. I've never seen a candidate, let alone a presidential candidate, look so utterly frustrated and defeated from a heckler before. He has no reply because he knows everything that guy is saying is 100% true.

When the infamous "Pepe!" heckler let loose in 2016, it took like five seconds for Clinton's security to grab him and escort him off the premises, and that was in a packed auditorium where the guy was all the way at the edge of a big second-floor balcony, as far from the exit as possible.

The democrats really have become passionless fucks, that crowd has no passion even in that chanting. And it's also all white suburban women so no wonder the chanting seems dull. I saw more younger women at Trump rallies despite majority of the youth vote will probably go to Biden.

They must be absolutely hurting for attendees at these Biden "rallies" if the guy can get within shouting distance.

Huh. Even with a disparity in the negro and youths, I think it will be a split for youth, with a decent advantage for Biden. But then I remember college kids exist, as well as that one young hick autist in that video.

Behind the scenes with Trump and Pence must be very interesting. Remember Pence was a talk radio host before politics and can probably hold his own with the POTUS. He comes across as stolid and grey but if you watch his speeches he has a lot of humour and the conviction that comes with belief. Trump probably sees a lot of Rush L in Pence, and Rush has been a stalwart supporter and friend for years. Pence will never overshadow him, or threaten him but he can talk / debate and Trump can trust him (personally) 100%. That sort of relationship is rare and worth so much in Washington.

Harris for Joe? Just don’t ever let her cook for you without a food taster is all I’m sayin..

I'd estimate the chorus of people shouting "we want joe" to be no more than 2 dozen.

Which seems to be the same all over.

Joe's run reminds me an awful lot of the very short lived Change UK political party.

It held rallies in various places and always struggled to fill seats as the enthusiasm for it was very low to begin with. They claimed politics was broken too, just like Joe, and said they'd be able to change it, just like Joe.

Just Like Joe most of them were old globalhomo stooges and lackies and made it very clear they didn't want the UK to leave the EU and would hold a second referendum. Ironically data at the time showed there was enthusiasm for at least two new political parties in the UK. One largely pro EU would eat into Labour and Lib Dem Support and one Brexit supporting which would eat into Labour and Conservative support.

Farage returned with the Brexit Party and began to rocket in the polls, hitting 22% at one point while Change UK barely ticked over 10%.

The enthusiasm gap was seen too, the media gushed and printed column after column for Change UK and tried to pretend Farage's Brexit Party was just an old doddery fart coming out to shout once more. The BBC even gushed about Change and how brilliant they will be while only mentioning the Brexit Party when their finances were questioned, only for the charges to be dropped and barely reported on.

Change collapsed the second it faced the public (they don't like turncoats) and Boris was now Prime Minister so could steal the Brexit Party's clothes, stealing Labour voters in the process.

Basically, all the chorus screams for it, all the chanting, all the media coverage in the world can mean absolutely fuck and all when many more voters have seen behind the curtain.

Personally I suspect Pence is the cooler head, sounding board type. He's also somewhat institution himself, being able to know how and why the corridors of power work albeit on the smaller scale of Indianopolis. The game is largely the same at all levels of power and Pence seems to be a principled, good player of it.

Farage also intentionally stood down his candidates in seats where Tories were running to let them win, since he knew Boris would get Brexit done (which he has, regardless of all the other mistakes he's made). The entire point of the Brexit Party was to make sure the Tories stuck to a pro-Brexit stance and didn't back out.

Buttigieg, even if he changed his last name to Smith, would still have the fact that he comes off as smug, smarmy, and insincere. His personality is repellent, and I could not imagine him sitting down with Pooh or Putin and being taken seriously, any more than I can imagine them taking Kamala Harris seriously. And that counts for a lot.
Out of all the Maltese surnames he had to have, it was the one that is a) difficult to pronounce for English speakers and is pronounced differently depending on which part of the island he comes from (could have had Pace, Abella, Camilleri, Muscat) b) can be made into a piss taking name based on his sexuality. Some think he might be someone to look out for in the future. I say he has no chance when the average person can't pronounce or spell his name without difficulty.
