I don't think many people here would say there ISN'T an issue with Police in America. No one here could honestly look at the Twister case with that one guy and go "oh yeah he definitely deserved to get shot", but the problem is; people have poisoned the well of the topic of Police issues so badly, that no one here really fucking cares anymore. It's at the point where it's like "oh they got shot 15 times? probably deserved it regardless of what they did, and even if they didn't, fuck it, I don't care." This shit has done more to foster goodwill for the Police than any effort in the past has.

it's like punishing a kid. if you punish the kid every time you perceive them as having done something wrong, regardless of if they even did anything or not, all you do is teach your kid to be afraid or stop caring. you have to actually take the time to look into things, see what happened, and then assign an appropriate punishment, if any at all.

i keep saying, these people are just going to get the police that they don't actually want, because this behavior is going to drive out every cop that wants to have a positive effect on their community. all they'll have left are the cops that like having power and authority over them, and like using it.

Yes but back then, the point of reproducing was to increase the families survive-ability, and majority of people were productive in some way.

When you take away the need to find the basics of survival, you are left with a shit tonne of time to contemplate what luxuries you deserve to have given to you, because you never had to work for the basics. There is no value to anything anymore, if someone isn't using something then they don't deserve to have it, 'it's my right to take it from them'...

We aren't sliding back anywhere, unless you want to try and take away the technological advancements that are part of every single thing humans do, there is no possible way to go back. Well besides an EMP, but even then it wouldn't be everyone, even within the areas that got hit with it.

I'm hard pressed to point to any specific policy or procedure they are asking to be changed. Just monday morning quarterbacking use of force incidents. "Well they should have done this" That would require them having a crystal ball to see the future and know things that they couldn't know at the time.

What cops operate on is policy and procedure. The rules that govern how they do policing. Break them and get into trouble.

Can't have change when you can't specify what the problem is with policy and procedure. Hell, most of the rabble-rousers legit think harassing and shooting black people is policy. They are so far off the rails with their persecution conspiratorial nonsense you couldn't have a constructive conversation about this if you tried.

At least with England, lots of upper class families had a bunch of kids. The ones that inherited, made good marriages, or did something historically noteworthy are the only ones anyone talks about though.

Queen Victoria had nine kids at a time when the average for Brit women was 4.9. Charlotte, George III’s wife had 15 when the average was 5.5.

Some royals had tons of kids. They had to due to higher infant mortality rates, in order to secure male heirs, and to retain power by marrying their kids to other royals.

ETA If you want to add in the US, the Kennedys (nine kids) and the Teddy Roosevelts (six kids) were above the average too.

Medieval European monarchs bred like rabbits. Charles II had scores of illegitimate children, and they generally had lower mortality rates because of their wealth.

Malays are bitter in general because they realize that the most successful ethnicity in Malaysia and Indonesia are the racially superior Chinese. I mean, I hate the commies in PROC, but there is no doubt that Malays are a dumb peasant race, hence their Islam. Most Chinese in Malaysia and Indonesia are Buddhist or Christian.
