The Digital Homicide fiasco always looked to me like a non-treversy. A lolsuit by an incompetent no name studio that shits copy paste games for a living.

Anyways, a worker's union nearly always becomes a thing that makes the workplace worse in both corruption and results, and depending on the country you live in you can't refuse to pay protection participation fee. I could understand their existence decades ago when there weren't any workers rights, but right now it's paying a extra for a small group of people who will look first for their and their friends salaries.

I'm not at all surprised. There's a huge difference between "I can do it, I'm going to do it" and just up and doing it. I can't get shit done if I talk about doing something for more than a day.

I'd like to see if any of those people you're talking about own any version of RPG Maker, and what they've made with it.

Shit, you and I could talk for hours about awful Konami shit Jim never even acknowledged, because nobody cares about Bemani games outside of their (extremely autistic) communities. Those don't get clicks, Metal Gear and Silent Hill stuff does.

And yet, #FucKonami was some of Jim's best work.

This attitude is probably why most of those portfolio pieces I mentioned earlier are so shit from people who apply. They do the fun parts and then drop the project when they hit eight hours of tweaking coyote time to feel 'just right', and now their movement feels shit. Gamedev is dull, dry, boring shit with an occasional sprinkle of fun in there. Unless your sadistic like me and like details oriented, finicky, complex things. Then most of it is enjoyable :P

I just want to say here that if your cultivating such a fucking trainwreck of a human body that basic household maintenance is physically debilitating for you, the problem is not the fact that healthcare and homes are not free, the problem is folks like you are occupying both of them. There's going to be a legendary games media lolcow dying out in the future as all these hearts just implode, and no amount of patreon whining will conjure new organs. They'll decry that limited healthcare resources are pay to win, right into their graves.

I just find it funny this guy contradicts himself so much. Has an issue with Ubisoft's handling of complaints... But wants unions that literally handle it the same way in every fucking industry they exist in. He wants accountablity, but will dodge any question for accountability from himself or his friends that he protects.

Except this also fucking ignores that most developers and publishers actually do give expressed licenses to streamers, which in turn allows them to stream the game legally. Now this can always retroactively be revoked, but it absolutely is currently given.

"the idiot" is absolutely correct though, games companies allow them to stream the games, streaming isn't transformative and therefore isn't covered under fair use.
