Ma Burnell might be a trainwreck but you gotta admit early Phil did manage to have it somewhat together, being valedictorian and "earning" a degree. Of course, it's more of an indictment against both of those institutions than a compliment to Phil, but it does seem like under the influence of his parents - most probably father, really - he managed to succeed at least somewhat at life. Your garden variety idiot couldn't do that by himself.

It's only when he got to be himself he turned into the complete retard he was always meant to be. The autism was in his nature, not nurture.

I'm putting all my money on WWE Champions because it was the longest scam he's run. He's been throwing money in to this game like crazy for years all why crying poor. The plot twist all his scams and begging were really all for his mobile game addiction.

I hope it was worth it Phil.

I voted for the dying parents, as there's an extra level of scumbaggary in claiming you may never see them again, then using the money to get married.

He didn't have a choice! His mom told him he had to spend that money on a good time with his wife thumb Kat, and he just had to!

Motherfucker thinks money isn't fungible. If you have 5,000 dollars in debt, and your parents give you 5,000 dollars for a wedding, you don't get a 5,000 dollar wedding. You cancel your debt and you don't get a wedding. But that would require personal responsibility and the lack of a crippling spending addiction.

Well... “Valedictorian” doesn’t necessarily mean a whole lot.

Phil could have gone to one of those schools where just the fact that you submit most of your homework on time puts you in the top tier of academic achievers. Since 3/4 of the student population are either Hispanics who barely speak English, or niggers who think academic achievement=being white.

I'm not sure if WWE champions counts as a scam. It's Phil wasting money and lying about it, but he wastes money on a lot of shit, so it's more like the usual background radiation of a Phil stream to me. The parents dying thing was very scummy and manipulative.

It's definitely a scam, he's claiming he needs money for necessities like bills, food etc whilst instead spending it on sweaty jpegs.

He was raised to be DSP.
He is part of a 666 point plan spanning 666 years where he was raised to have 666 heinous acts associated to him over his 666 (*12) hours of streaming where he is to gather 666 dollars by the 6th minute of the 6th day of the 6th month.

Then the portal will open. Pearl Burnell's bones will contort into an unholy shape. She will gaze at the sun one last time.

She will open her maw and sing the song that heralds the end of the world.

Kids who are over-parented tend to do well in school, because the authority figure is less so the teacher and more so the parent making sure they study at home. DSP wasn't even allowed to have buddies spend the night at his house. But once these kids grow up and enter the real world where the authority figure is a professor or a manager and the only thing keeping them in line is themselves (they've learned little to no self-sufficiency) it all falls apart. Hence why DSP has failed miserably at every jahb he's had and probably needs an instruction manual for wiping his ass.

Presumably this wraps in him bitching that he has no money for anything then flying off and getting married then coming back and bitching that it set him back?

While most of this is in my head with little evidence to back it up I always thought of Phil's parents as Red and Kitty from That 70's Show. His mom babies him and tells him everything he does is great while his dad is more strict and tells him "get good grades, go to a good college, and you'll be set."

So Phil works hard through high school, graduates college, and then realizes he won't instantly get a six figure job he'll have to start back at the bottom and work his way up. That's when Phil quit life and luckily Youtube was right around the corner to allow that to happen. If Phil was 5 years older he'd have been fucked.

I can't even watch his stream to laugh at him anymore.

His nasally voice is just too fucking aggravating to me.
Watching Phil be miserable, complaining, and ranting used to be hilarious because a 40 year old man so bitter and alone is a sight to behold. It was funny to see him throw such a shitfit over tiny, petty things.
Now when you watch Phil, you know every single complaint, every hand-wring over a detractor, is just forced drama. Him blowing something up to be bigger than it is, and you know he's doing it on purpose now, so it's just...lame.
Vest Streak was boring but the absence of it has only highlighted the fact that Phil has to maintain a crisis scenario in order to make a profit. So whenever Phil complains about those damn, dastardly trolls who prevent him from playing multiplayer in CoD, I just think "Yeah, sure..." (it's funny that he'd say something like that after straight up lying about Minecraft not even having multiplayer, but whatever)
We still get that rare scenario where the mask slips and he has a genuine autistic flailing, like the Microsoft scam. But ever since Pokemon Sword, he's only become faker and faker.
Good job, Phil. You broke my immersion.

I can only handle watching his streams in bite-sized chunks like from example a Snort Burnell video. The only time I watch a whole stream of his is when I watch LyteSydeBill's Street Fighter restream and even there by the halfway point I'm at least tipsy because I play the drinking game with a Baltic porter with an ABV of 7.3% and even if you can hold your liquor well like I can my ass is grass when the tips are low which leads to Phil bitching about ahnlaine lheg and drahpped inphoots at a higher frequency which leads to me taking more drinks which leads to an increasing chance of me getting a hangover the next morning.

According to Philthy: Twitch doesn't deserve to test or even consider 50% tip cut, despite him literally streaming and using their service. Greed is MASSIVELY strong.

Edit: Philthy trying to retcon the LTG challenge he made. Claims he challenged LTG and LTG was the one who canceled. Ignoring the fact LTG came back saying to put money down and Philthy ducked. Pussy.

Yeah fuck these Sooper Turbo Street Fighter shtreems. These are among his most attrocious streams. Repetitive and plain boring.

So in the meantime I was doing some super duper official back in time retrospective DSP historical analysis and I found a place in his 2011 cahndo videos where he, again, uses velcro stickies on the wall to mount a large poster in a frame and complains that it fell off the wall. He criticizes the stickies and even the paint itself for not supporting the poster.
As a bonus we get him saying he cant remount it again because his shoulder is killing him and he has a heating pad on it. Poor thing, he couldn't even play any video games at some tournament in the winter.

How does this man not know from his mistakes? Nine fucking years later and he uses these same velcros to hang a heavy goddamn vest rack. It makes me wonder if all the art and decor from his Connecticut cahndo and his Washington cahndo are all supported by these cheap Wal-Mart excuse me Fred Meyers velcro strips. It just makes me wonder how many things he's broken by using this method. Even more curious, did Phil courteously paint the walls after tearing these velcro strips out of the wall for the new tenant? Don't answer that. The answer is no.
