With all the Blacktober going on and other things, hardly anyone on my timeline actually went through with inktober this month, or at least, they stopped after week 1. I made an entire list of prompts for myself and didn't complete any since I'm burnt out as it is, and it was more of a demotivator seeing so much art discourse. If everyone's going to be more preoccupied with low-effort recolors of redrawn screencaps, why should I put any effort into having my shit seen (especially when Twitter makes it damn near impossible to BE seen if you're a nobody).

I'll probably draw this weekend and eat candy I bought for myself since it's too cold and Halloween is probably not going to happen where I live.

Hands down the honest truth. When you are bombarded with constant streams of art, you feel as if anything you do is a pile of crap. Quitting social media helps seeing your work in a more honest light, even if you are not 100% qualified to judge your own work. Plus, the fact that nobody will give a rat's ass about your stuff is even more demotivational than anything. It's better to fuck off and have a niche group of people to evaluate you than jump into social media.
I like chatting with my buds frequently ( especially now that I'm on quarantine) and amino appeals to my spergy special interest mind so i ain't dropping amino any time soon lolol.

Good luck on whatever you do in the future tho
I would also watch anime or movies with my buds, but one is in forced quarentine (he's a teacher) and the other is abroad slaving on some endless engineering project. Plus, they are not the kind that like to watch stuff, which makes our meetups a bit more tense than they should unless we have board games.

And if luck had to do anything with my life, i would already be successful since i'm quite lucky, not gonna lie. But i don't seek fame or anything. I just want to make something good that is cherished by a few and with that i will be content. I will even be happy if i'm happy with it.

DEAR LORD

Good lord. How hard is it to color correct?

On the rare occasion the Tumblr radar actually loads on my dashboard, it usually shows me art. And today it showed me this:

I'll give it credit in that it's not a recolor of an existing character, it's just an "ace knight," but just...the pastel pink side-shave and Steven Universe lips. *sigh.*

Its actually not awful art but the political message is so blatant that its utterly laughable. It would look much better if there were colors other than the Asexual 'flag', even with the side-cut. There is literally nothing else to this than attempted social points with an LGBT and PEE OH SEE score multiplier.

I think that's what's most depressing about this--the people participating in Blacktober don't seem to be doing it for pure enjoyment or a fun challenge, they seem to be doing it out of spite, or because these artists know it'll get them views. I don't think Blacktober in and of itself is a bad thing, but I think it'd be much more effective if people brought lesser known black characters into the spotlight or made really cool, original black characters of their own. (I think making an OC would be a fun creative challenge that you could really put a lot of heart and soul into if you tried)

They actually are. The guy who tried to trademark Inktober plagarized some guy's art.
But not just any guy. A black guy.
If the guy was white, this "Blacktober" shit wouldn't had been made. It was created soley to spite the dude who plagarized an artist rather than, y'know, focus on the blantant art theft.

Saw this nutcase coulro-mischief a few times before on Tumblr, got curious and decided to take a look. I believe their art could be worthy of a mention so here it is.

>Likes LISA: The Painful "(VERY critically)"
>DNI if you support South Park
Oh yes, South Park is the worst, literally Hitler show, but the game in which rapists, abusers, murderers and the brutalization of a little girl (not to meantion the Flash, which was an event before the games in which all women were mysteriously erased off this Earth) are literally MAIN THEMES of its plot is 100% A-okay.

Being critical is not a excuse, it is even worse, this person screams Manny Corobo to me.
Talk about a coincidence, cause coulro-mischief had a recent cow crossover where Doc reblogged Manny's art!

It's a danm pity because sans the hair i love the armour. When will tumblroni dummies understand that half shaved styles only look good on Grunge- punk kids?
