Even if they're a for naught in the end all of these rallies of thousands gives me hope that I'm not the only one of me out there, even if we do get shut down in media. At least I will not be fighting in "Civil War 2: Rage Against the Woke" alone.

I agree, but in the here and now (because that was 100 years ago now) things continue to bleaker.

I mostly do a good job at staying positive though. I just keep keeping on.

Well, the context they grew up in is probably a big part of why lots of zoomers will come out fucked up. Of course I don't blame them for that, but people will absorb bad circumstances and be adversely impacted by them.

President Trump greeted the massive overflow crowd that had waited for hours outside the Rochester, Minnesota venue in cold weather just to catch a glimpse of him.

“There are thousands of people [out here], all because the governor wants to play games,” Trump said as he walked toward the overflow crowd, which was fenced off behind a barricade.
Trump continued: “There are thousands of people injured by this. This should be a lesson [for Walz].”

During the rally, the President blasted Minnesota’s Democrat governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison.
Reminder: Ellison was a former Congressman who was accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend.

Trump said Walz and Ellison were totally lax toward Black Lives Matter rioters who had torched and looted Minneapolis in August, but tried to suppress his outdoor MAGA rally because they’re left-wing hypocrites.
“We’re given a very very hard time by your so-called leaders, but they’re not very good leaders as you found out during the riots,” Trump said. “There are at least 25,000 people who wanted to be here tonight. We just saw a lot of them and wanted to pay our respects. They were here for a long time. They waited and waited.”
Trump continued: “When large numbers of rioters and vandals sacked Minneapolis earlier this year, Keith Ellison did not ask them to submit a permit. He told the throngs of violent demonstrators, ‘By all means, exercise your First Amendment rights!'”
Trump added: “Keith Ellison sided with flag-burning extremists over law-abiding Americans. He treats you like second-class citizens. He believes that the pro-American voters have fewer rights than anti-American demonstrators. Keith Ellison and Joe Biden want to imprison you in your homes while letting anarchists, agitators, and vandals roam free.”

Twitter videos captured the enormous crowd of Trump supporters, who were not deterred by their governor’s orders or the cold weather.

Depends. A lot of people have rose colored glasses for it, but it depends where they lived.

The inner city was still hell and coming off the crack epidemic of the 80's. Violent crime was everywhere compared to today. Race relations were particularly bad in the early 90's. (Cue the LA riots.) I spent many years in NYC during the 80's, shit is basically Disneyland today. Also, shit like Ruby Ridge and WACO happened and revealed just how much power the 3 letter agencies had. (And how much they had to pull back after videotapes of the fire/tanks at WACO hit the air.)

If you grew up in a nice area of the suburbs, things were generally great. Disposable income was way higher and technology/science were begining massive advances thanks to computers becoming affordable. Social groups and get togethers were way more available and common. (I miss going to my old large LCS to play card games and D&D like you wouldn't believe.)

Home prices were also still reasonable. A 3 bedroom 2 bath in a good neighborhood could go for 89k. Nowadays that same house would be 350k+.
