Home prices were also still reasonable. A 3 bedroom 2 bath in a good neighborhood could go for 89k. Nowadays that same house would be 350k+.

I wouldn't want the 1990s back but the property prices were definitely more affordable back then.

If anyone tried that with a presidential or other diplomatic motorcade they would've been shot. Of course said motorcades are also ringed by law enforcement and heavily armed/armored vehicles.

Real talk, I do feel bad for Zoomers to an extent. They had it way easier than I did. I remember in high school I wanted to call my girlfriend first thing in the morning to wish her a happy birthday. Her fucking Marine dad answered the phone and I about shit my self. I'm almost 40 and still remember that. Life experiences like that they will never have to go through because of smart phone/social media. I got my license because I wanted to get the fuck out of the house to go TALK to my friends. Now they can FaceTime all night and never need to leave. Nevermind the sexual deviants that Zoomers are because they're already burnt out on regular porn by the time they're 19. This shit is crazy.

I catch myself being a little hard on my kids just so they are a little tougher than the other neighborhood goblins.

POWER LEVEL SPERG - I'm in the automotive world. I have to get into a lot of customer cars on the daily and the amount of fucking TVs, iPads, Fire Table, is too damn high. How many Farmers grew up just looking out the window? Listening to the same fucking mini tape you listened to for the past 4 hours. The 'tip of your finger' entertainment has killed the Zoomers and we're all going to suffer when they grow up.

They were given the world at the finger tips, fed bullshit like university being the only way to get ahead in life, and then proceeded to find the real world is a cruel and harsh mistress.

Honestly, its not their fault. The world saw fit to never train them to function int he world as it is, and instead to function in a world of lies. Doesn't mean they aren't fucking annoying, but I find I have the same attitude to them I would a brain-damaged dog. I can't help but pity them.

I'm not sure how true the "pushed college as the be all end all" is anymore. My high school spent more time taking us on trips to factories and hospitals (which everyone saw as a joke because who hasn't been to the hospital at least once for one reason or another) and pushing going straight to work after graduation OR the medical field. People I've talked to about school IRL have said the same thing.

I would expect SCOTUS to rule in Trump's favour in a hypothetical Bush v Gore situation, but it would still be a mess I'd rather avoid.
