I drove home from college town today to be here to vote on Tuesday. As I got into my county I started noticing tiny little black and white handmade signs (look like tombstones tbh) saying "WRITE IN OLIVER COM (commissioner) 4"

And you know I gotta ask...who is "Oliver"? Oliver Stone? Oliver Twist?

At this point there's only one thing that worries me. Obama Nostalgia.

I dont know how voters could think Biden will bring back "The Obama Years" but people can be dumb.

I'm just hoping there dont exist any "Shy Biden" voters that are gonna be voting en masse on the 3rd.

California seceding after this election would be like if England seceded from British empire or is Russia seceded from the USSR
Not exactly, but it won't happen. It would be total suicide for the state because they need water from the Rockies, and the authorities in charge know that and won't do it.

With all the constant conventional-wisdom yapping about "we won't know the winner for days/weeks", the ultimate ending for all this would be an anticlimactic decisive win on Election night that puts legal chicanery and "recounts" out of reach in changing the outcome.

I obviously would think it would be in favor of Trump, but who the hell knows.

I was driving around yesterday and suddenly I heard a radio ad for Trump.....In California. I thought this was kinda weird and then I remembered I had also heard several ads for Biden. Is there something the campaigns know that I don't?
I think the campaigns just buy ads where some are played nationwide, and then they do more intense ad buys for swing states.

Probably Trump looking for a popular vote win nationally. There's no way CA goes red but CA is the reason Clinton won the popular vote in 2016, so if it levels out a bit then Trump might get a narrow national popular vote margin which would legitimise him a bit more.

I feel like if Biden wins there will never be another Republican president again. Or at least for a long time. He and eventually Harris and the Dems will make so many changes that it will be very hard for them. I can see all of these happening in 4-12 years.

Millions of illegals being brought in and voting Democrat.
Puerto Rico and D.C. becoming states adding more Dem senator and house members
Stacking the Supreme Court
Restricting free speech
Restricting guns
Dems changing the filibuster back into their favor
Abolishing the electoral college
Lowering the voting age to 16.

With all of that it will become really hard for a Republican to become President. Biden, Harris, or another Dem would have to fuck up so much that even some TDS people would admit they were wrong in order for one to get elected.

If they actually did all that stuff a Bolsonaro-ish backlash seems likely. Years of socialist rule (including gun seizure, affirmative action, etc) in Brazil led to a right wing resurgence after their government collapsed and Rousseff was impeached. 4-12 years is one thing but forever is a long time.

Brazilian socialists had 14 years from Lula's first election to the Rousseff impeachment. Bolsonaro was elected 2 years later.

This isn't to understate the damage the Brazilian left did, though. They almost left the country in economic ruins by the end.

My counter argument to that is that it was the same thing Hillary supporters were screaming in 2016.

That's why I've tried to keep my doomerism in check: it cannot be understated just how fearful the left was when Trump won. At then I will at least give it some pass because we had zero idea what Trump would actually do in office. But the left reacted the day after election night like all women were getting raped (grabbed by the pussy), that all illegals were getting deported back to Mexico, that gay marriage would become illegal immediately, that all Muslims were getting killed, that black people were all going to get rounded up and lynched.

In 2020 if Trump wins the left will be angry; in 2016 they were legit terrified.

Ah, yes. Latinos are the cause of most dictatorships in LATIN AMERICA. Very astute.

You know, I think he meant that most dictators and military juntas were hispanic (which if you only count military dictators, as in not commies or feudalism or what the romans called "dictators" during their republic, well he'd be right) but the way he worded it is so fucking retarded he somehow managed to turn it into "ah yes, the floor here is made of floor."

I'm still wondering why the fuck the dems ever though hispanics would automatically translate into votes for them. I mean, never mind the fact that hispanics on average are on the conservative and libertarian sides, so expecting them to reliably vote for progressive authoritarians has to be the most retarded idea I've ever encountered (and for reference I have read all about the misadventures of the great CWC, and the entirety of El Quijote, and neither even compare) but even when they vote left. What the fuck made the dems think they would never wind up voting for a third party? I mean, that's not just Hispanics, the left in general always has a bad tendency to implode into single issue parties. Bringing in tons of voters who all have a single identity and more than likely one or more common issues is just a recipy to get overcome by whoever realizes how to play that game!

Also lol at putting machismo in quotes. Had he not used that I'd imagine he's using the english term, but with quotes and in context it seems quite clear he means the spanish term. Which tells me he doesn't actually know spanish. (Reminder: "Machismo" is the spanish word for "Mysoginy", it got its english definition from "macho" being used in similar contexts. Also btw last time I said the english version had no solid translation. I should've said "that I know of" because as it turns out the archaic term "hombría" would fit for a word that has that connotation in spanish, I just forgot it existed like a tard because to be fair it's been ages since I heard it. "Masculinidad" I guess would kinda fit too but that doesn't usually carry the same, ya know, "emphasis", it's more just to mean male characteristics in general not bravado and all that, kinda like using "dummy" instead of "FUCKING RETARD".) Sorry for going off tracks point is he accidentally claimed all Latinos are mysoginists, which by feminist rules is a big no no, so he's a FUCKING RETARD.
