If you're a dentist, what is your specialty? Orthodontics? Working with the fire department? As what, a volunteer firefighter? An actual salaried firefighter? EMS/EMT? If so, wouldn't you need to be on call for one or both of these professions? A mathematician, you say? Did you teach at the high school, college or graduate level?
