I come here to gawk and laugh at tard babies not read the umpteenth post by some beauty parlor regular looking down their nose at the poors/religious, pearl clutching about ACB, and finally admitting they don't have any kids of their own.

Go drown your roastieitis with more box wine and lexapro you kooky "cool" aunts.

Edit: Hoes clearly mad. Touched a nerve huh? That deep pit of depression that won't go away no matter how many "fulfilling career" promotions or new antidepressants? Sucks to suck.

Huh? I think there might be two or three regular posters in this entire thread that don’t have kids out of dozens.

When it comes to anti-depressants it’s usually women with lots of kids and unhappy marriages/single taking them, not women with fulfilling careers. (See Utah).

we don’t have your baby photos, so we can’t post them, unfortunately

Her head also keeps getting bigger, despite the shunt.

Ms Empath is offering a class on how to become a narcissist empath just like her!

And she also got Luna a stroller made for quadruplets and shills it to other special needs parents as if it's remotely affordable with a price tag of $549, even with the 25% discount.

I hate this bitch. How can she look at her poor, needlessly deformed, visibly suffering infant that she herself made this way out of her own hubris and desire for a #beautifulaestheticbirth, and think "yeah, this is success; I need to teach others how to be just like memeME and make eternally terrified spudbabies of their own."

Totally worth it!!

ETA: answered my own question
narcissism

actually, I found the source for that one hydrocephalus image, an exceedingly rare yet amazing case of a 40 yearold french man with 90% of his brain mass eroded by fluid

This is garbage.

My kids could beat the shit out of your kids, bitch

Ngl i like this thread for the in depth meaningful discussions about birth control, babies, religion, etc. Its like a completely different world then the rest of the farms
where I can look at humanity, and wonder where we went wrong and when I lost my faith in it.
Its a bit more serious and depressing in general, but hey cheers to having different opinions. At least we can respect it.
I remember when I was 10 my great grandmother lived in an assisted living facility, and she had a room mate with a 38-40 year old woman who had been in an accident a decade before. She was pretty much brain dead after the accident but her mom kept her alive and she had lots of kidney/liver problems, lots of surgeries, she was paralyzed, blind, couldn't say more than a baby. I thought her mom was a great lady at the time, but now I'm kind of bummed out because until this thread (I hadn't thought about it in forever) but here i am 18 years later thinking "wow, that was incredibly fucking cruel of her mom". She died after she had some kidney dialysis thing.

Mistake #1

Beauty Parlour is considered containment for a reason, retard, though I do thank you for your valiant sacrifice in saving me valuable scrolling time.

I recommend this article about vent farms. There are a lot of people in that situation.

This is garbage.

Ive been reading about these cases for years and yeah they are BS. Although the scans of these patients appear at first glance to show a massive amount of brain tissue missing, this is probably never been the case. I'm talking specifically about the patients with severe hydrocephalus, whose brain scans show large areas of fluid in the center, but who are reported to have either normal, near normal or above normal IQs, If you look at these images, you'll notice that the dark part is almost always in the center of the skull and it appears to be surrounded by a thin layer of cerebral cortex. What is likely happening is that the cerebral spinal fluid has built up in the center of the brain, enlarged the ventricles, and pushed the neurons of the cortex up against the skull. So while it looks like there is a lot brain tissue missing, the patients probably close to normal numbers of neurons, but they are much denser and more closely packed together. I believe the article stated that many or most of these cases occurred in the 1970s and 80s when brain imaging was less accurate than it is today.

Also the other article that originally talked about the supposedly miraculous guy who was living a relatively normal life with 90 percent of his brain tissue missing was updated later on to say basically what I just wrote and that he actually wasn't missing all that brain tissue after all. It's sneaky the way they posted it though. They left most of the original article unaltered, then at the bottom they added a small paragraph with the updated information. Basically the article says one thing, then at the end it pretty much says "oh by the way, everything you read above was complete crap...whoops"

Are children who think they want a baby actually that common? I know they're on shows like Maury and whatnot, but when I was a kid it seemed like most (including myself) thought babies were gross and not something anyone wanted to be saddled with.

You get this happening more in rural areas where education is the bare minimum and girls are taught that as long as they snag a man and have babies they'll be taken care of. This also happens with kids who have fucked up childhoods. It's always a red flag to me when the only reason someone can come up with for having kids is they want the unconditional love a child has for their parents. They basically want love their own parents wouldn't give them.

Oh wow, here I thought zombaby died years ago. Never would've thought it was still alive and shitposting on the farms.

In all seriousness I don't get the fundie/tradcel idea that women who don't have kids are always depressed and unfulfilled and having kids will always improve your life. Sure it's a good thing for some people, but a lot of times having kids just makes whatever mental or relationship issues you were having 10× worse. Having kids also doesn't magically make a narcissist or sociopath into a good person, if anything it just gives them a new person to abuse (like Luna's mom horrifically demonstrates).

Then when you get to shit like Quiverfull nutjobs that pop out as many kids as humanly possible all you really end up with is vaginal prolapse, older kids forced to parent the younger ones, and usually some kind of horrific abuse that's never dealt with properly.

Shit, Beauty Parlor especially is probably the best subforum to see examples of women who really, really shouldn't have had kids.

EDIT: looks like someone's so mad they took the time to shitpost on my user page. How many kids you got, @Cpl. Long Dong Silver ? Maybe they'd be on topic for this thread.

EDIT 2: looks like homeboy a little spiced

That's pretty neat, at least his family can finally have answers and closure. Sadly it doesn't sound like he's much better off than if he was dead.

Clicked a random story on Every Life Counts. Of course she has to get snide about those evil doctors even suggesting abortion for a baby that ultimately lived 16 days with extraordinary life saving procedures before dying from trisomy 13.

Their info page is fun, they call anencephaly a "life limiting" condition and are mad about doctors using words like fatal and lethal because 70 something percent of anencephalic babies are born (technically) alive (nevermind that most die within days or even hours and whether you can even consider a brainless meat sack as having a life is debatable at best). Plus other fun prolife nonsense.

It's wild how there are people that make literal brainless babies their hill to die on.

We watched that in 10th grade biology.

They also used to have a show called A Birth Story? Something like that. It showed the reality of labor and delivery

Probably late, but do mean A Baby Story? Not to clog up the thread with more stories of Kiwis being fucked up by watching people giving birth, but I came home to my mother watching something like that when I was 7 or 8. I was hiding behind the couch for most of it because she refused to change the channel and I thought it was scary. Oh, the memories!

Not just fundies and tradcels, unfortunately. It's in all likelihood a result of so many people, even today, not realizing that NOT having kids is actually an option. There are far too many people who bang out a kid or five because they think that's what they're "supposed" to do. Combine that with how the vast majority of children are unplanned and the stigma around abortion, and you have an awful lot of unhappy parents trapped in a society that labels them a monster if they so much as suggest that they are unhappy and/or regret having children. Misery loves company, as does projection, so childless/childfree people (most especially women) still get an awful lot of hate for daring to buck the norm.

Because these people aren't pro-life, they're anti-choice. They will absolutely never admit to there being any valid reason for an abortion, often including their own families/themselves. If they admit that anencephaly is fatal 100% of the time and that even "long lived" babies/children like Jaxon have zero quality of life, it completely destroys the foundation of their insane views that they're trying to push on the entire country.

People really think the Supreme Court is going to outlaw birth control? No they’re not.
I can see religious groups getting even more freedom to deny employees contraception in insurance, but my feeling is if you don’t agree with the Catholic Church on contraception don’t work for them.
The Catholic Church owns a lot of stuff in some areas, like hospitals for instance and refusing to cover it on insurance is just as bad as banning it. It may be different legally but the end result of less access to contraception is the same. Then there are businesses which just happen to be owned by a Christian like Hobby Lobby. Were they Catholic? Where does it end? There's precedent for a lot more denial of coverage especially if anyone can do it bc muh religious beliefs. That story of the woman who died in a motorcycle crash and was kept alive for 10 yrs is disturbing. She was dead as far as I'm concerned when her head hit the pavement. What is the smell her husband was speaking of in the old vent farm?

The smell might have been neuro breath. Apparently brain damaged people on ventilators have weird smelling breath for some reason. Someone mentioned it in the Jahi thread back when it was still relevant.
