Biden is basically finished in Florida. His vote lead when adding vote-by-mail to the in-person totals is less than 100k.

He needed multiple times that to be competitive once Election Day votes are in, since Republicans vote en masse on that day.

So, as my assessment is now, the election rests on 3 states. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, with Minnesota, Arizona, and Nevada as wild cards. Assuming the wild cards go the expected way, Biden needs to sweep the three at play states to win. Trump gets any of them is a lock. Minnesota flips and it's a lock, Nevada or Arizona flip and it's harder for both candidates but not impossible.

I think the fantasy of Texas, Georgia, and Florida being in play for Biden is to not make it look so dire. With those locked in Red Biden has a very hard path to victory, he has to flip 3 states from last election, Trump only needs to maintain one.

They also are the states with the most vote fuckery, so I'd still say it could go either way.

you don't have to power level if you don't want, but what city? I live in a moderately sized town adjacent to a large east coast blue-voting city, and I'm seeing big stores having their windows boarded up with plywood too. It seems as if the Dems in my area are already panicking, otherwise they would be confident in a #BlueWave leaving their precious storefronts unmolested.

Also, the amount of Biden signs and bumper stickers I've seen in my area has been in the single digits, and often when people put up Biden stickers on mailboxes and telephone poles usually within 24 hours they get peeled off or vandalized with MAGA scrawlings. Again, I live in a solid blue area where no one would vocally praise Trump, so make of that what you will.

It was when I wrote it. It has dropped to 14.61% after the Dems put out their last "Souls to the Polls" effort.

Though, for some reason, the auto-update timer reads hours ago despite the page showing new numbers for me now, so I'm not sure what happened there exactly. Maybe a caching thing.

My deepest hope, that is horridly unlikely, is that Trump sweeps both the Electoral College and Popular vote, with the House and Senate going red as can be.

And stays that way for the next 12 years.

Such a defeat, such an utter rejection, would force the democrats to the center.

It's not gonna fucking happen, but one can dream.
