DSP is far too narcissistic to kill himself. He is incapable of admitting fault/accepting responsibility for anything in his life and is immune to feelings of shame or guilt.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm aware of that. I'm just saying that he'll use anyone's and everyone's death or suicide to either make himself look morally superior (the Sean Connery death) or to throw some King of Suffering woe is me pity party (Etika and Hana Kimura suicides). That was my thought when I saw the story. I'm sure he'll go on about her being a big name with sponsorships and the whole deal, and he's just the little guy, the underdog, who really needs your help. Tips are the best way to support, m'kay?

So if I understand this correctly Poki now has a cap on single donations of $5. So what? Doesn't this just mean that chasers who want to donate $50 get to spam ten separate donations without anything stopping them? And if the payment processor takes a flat cut per transaction doesn't this benefit them more?

Streaming video games on the internet is a constant exercise in artificially inflating your worth as a human being and an entertainer. I don't trust any claim or any action taken by a streamer at face value. DSP is hardly alone.

ETA: as with anything, if it wasn't about the money, they'd do it for free. No exceptions.

I'm pretty sure something like this will be his excuse and he'd be right. Poki is doing this because she's intelligent, not because she's a humanitarian. She's in the big leagues now with like a production team and everything. Hob nobbing directly with celebs and Amazon and Google execs. The ordinary paypigs may have gotten her to this point but she doesn't really need them anymore. Joe Blow draining his savings account in one go front of everyone thinking this will make her his waifu is irrelevant in the face of her current revenue stream and just bad press. This is also a big FU to those who still think they influence her or that she owes them anything with their measly 1K tips. Think the song Don't You Want Me, The guy who funded the waitress's ascent to stardom and now he wants to finally get to bang her as a reward but she doesn't need him anymore, and he's just a liability to be cut loose, but hey...at least he isn't wasting his money anymore, and you'll have an encapsulation of what has happened.

In a way its the ultimate antiDSP move. Just in a darker more cunning antiDSP than we thought.

I'm sure the fame and glory and bigtime production staff is eating him up on the inside almost as much as the money. Its probably especially galling and he's wild with jealousy and a millimeter away from throwing a shitfit over her independence from-ordinary- paypigs too. Something that definitively separates her from Phil and what he probably has craved for years even though its an open question whether he'd ever stop begging.

I actually lean towards dental issues to explain the wincing face devouring scenes and it may help explain why he chews liquids and sloshes it around in his gob before swallowing them too.

I don't know about the whole teeth theory. I've never seen any footage of him chewing and showing pain (even when he drinks those weird milkshakes), it seems to me that he pulls those pained faces when taking a bite because he has a horrible flabby droopy face that squishes up whenever he does anything. He has a Shar Pei face.

Edit: Also if you had fucked up teeth, doing that swishy liquid chewing thing he does seems counter-intuitive. If your teeth are sensitive, you'd immediately swallow it so it has as little contact with your teeth as possible, not the opposite which is to swish it around and have it hit all your teeth.

Do you guys seriously think a measly policy change will end the pigroach? No way. Pigroach will overcome, pigroach will conquer.

Paypigs will venmo or paypal him the money, they will send envelopes full of cash if they have to. This on top of the actual $5 tip they send to make sure their username pops up on stream. Phil will set up a an E-begging counter showing a true and honest and entirely not fabricated sum he has collected behind the scenes.

Although you're right that it would make more sense to just swallow the liquid whole if you have tooth pain, the act of swishing it around actually prevents the liquid from settling on the pained area(s), so swishing it around is not as bad as you make it seem.
