The Qanon community is made up of boomers, and a smattering of millenials who shit out poor quality videos where they throw explanations at the wall and see what sticks, and they make a considerable amount of money off of sponsorships and donations.

A member of my family follows Qanon, and I've had to explain all sorts of *chan lingo and minutiae to them. They're certain that Qanon knows all, but all I've ever seen is a whole lot of very, very vague explanations and confirmation bias. Qanon seems to mostly just post pro-American propaganda that doesn't actually explain anything, nor ever urge them to act at all, in any way, other than making memes and trying to redpill anyone around them.

Personally, I think if anything, Qanon seems like a panacea to calm down anyone that might actually get up and fight back against the chaos. But I have no idea why mainstream media sources demonize Q and paint it to be a giant conspiracy/cabal/whatever the fuck. It seems to be just a bunch of boomers playing Matlock and giving their kids' inheritances away to YouTube grifters.

I remember exactly when it started, and at the beginning it seemed somewhat plausible. As far as conspiracy theories go, I can believe someone "on the inside" is leaking info. We wouldn't know about the inner working of the NSA otherwise. But once he started making tangible predictions and was proven wrong, his response was "to protect my identity I will occasionally feed wrong information in to keep people off my trail." This was all very early on and still on 8chan.
So at that point, everyone with any sense should have just abandoned it. What I think happened is this is a sort-of revolution Boomers can wrap their heads around. Everything else is pretty obtuse and autistic on the far right and far left, but they hate big government so this is a guy who claims half the government is right on the edge of being arrested. That's a visceral, visual thing that can excite them and they don't need to think much about any historic, systemic, or deeper political issues. The bad guys are gonna be arrested by a cool sheriff, and then America will go back to normal.

She still has contact with people working there, they're still empty, but the news claims otherwise. They've laid off tons of people in fact because less people are out and about to get injured, so no one's coming in. Am RN in a midwestern hospital. Worked a COVID medsurg unit from May-Sept. Our COVID numbers are higher than they've ever been right now. Gonna be a long winter.

During our first "peak" early in the year, we were empty too. Because people were terrified to come in and get the plague and elective surgeries weren't happening. since nobody knew if NYC/France/etc was gonna happen nationwide. Tons of people furloughed.

Now it's the opposite. House manager's absolutely begging for more hands on deck in my texts every day, offering INSANE bonuses. We'll definitely get overrun if things keep going the way they are, and non-COVIDs who could've been helped will get caught in the crossfire when we run out of beds.

COVID is pretty much the main reason why I think Trump is about to get assreamed.

I can't speak for every hospital, but having seen that the specific hospital she worked at was getting media attention in the state and some minor national news while being empty to this day, I just can't believe it. I'm sure there are some hospitals that are worse than others, but they're covering hospitals in the news as though it's all of them that are swamped, and it's just not the case. I don't think COVID is fake, to be clear, but it's being built up for the political gains all the same.

It is very likely that Trump will be reelected because of the following reasons.

1: Voter Enthusiasm. No one wants to vote against a candidate. Throughout history, people have voted for people who APPEAL to them and rationally would not want to vote for just anyone. We thought John Kerry would win the presidency and for the republican equivalent: Mitt Romney. What we should figure out, is no one wants to vote AGAINST something. They would rather vote FOR someone. Judging by the numerous rallies Trump has done compared to biden, as well as the population. Hell, in California, there is a LOT of voter enthusiasm for trump, suggesting that people are still willing to vote for this oompa loompa looking goblin.

2: Hidden Trump Voters. Much like the brexit vote in the UK, people are apprehensive over who they are voting for. The paradigm has shifted from people merely just disagreeing with the person they are voting for, to an absolute enemy that must be destroyed. People do not want to be ostracized, yet they have political opinions that differ from the rest of the US. With that, people often are apprehensive of who they're voting for until they actually vote. Which vote is unacceptable to the mainstream? Trump. Which vote IS acceptable? Biden. Pollsters will have a RUDE awakening once they see a massive shift of advantage from biden to trump.

3: Media Distrust. No one likes the media. Trust and viewership in the mainstream media is down to 10 percent in the past few years, especially when T-money got elected. People are starting to question the polls and the media coverage of candidates to the point where "Fake news" is synonymous with many news channels, especially CNN. Even the media caught on to the fact that their propped up candidate might lose, so they instill damage control like "WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT BIDEN WILL WIN" and "DUN CIVIL WAR IF BIDEN LOSES GUIZE". It is very clear that the polls are inflated. Fuck, even Biden's campaign admits it.

I could be wrong about all of this and Biden wins. I, myself, do not guarantee that trump has it in the bag. But, because of all these reasons, it is VERY likely that trump will win.

I work in healthcare and have a lot of doc friends from over the years. Stuff is really bad in a lot of areas. People just putting their heads in the sand just because it makes Daddy Trump look bad really annoys me. Imagine if people did that shit with cancer? "Oh, cancer is no big deal! Just pretend it's not there!"

What do you mean by "empty"? There's no patients at all? Does she work in the ICU? If not, they normally won't release those numbers to staff unless they need to know.

The only problem with Biden winning is that democrats will think IDPol will work and it will reflect on corporates.

And man? I don't want to see another Black Panther movie overhyped or Youtube trying to tell me all about black authors or media creators who can only either rap or talk about slavery as coca-cola ads blast in the background over and over in some disease brain attempt at milking bucks from white people with catholic style guilt complexs watching these minstrel shows that make boost mobile commercials seem elegant.
