The real question is what happens if Trump doesn't try again in 2024 in the event he loses or if he's reelected and he's termed out in 2024. What does the GOP do then?I concur with whoever noted earlier in the thread that if Biden wins, then the Democrats can win with pretty much anybody.
Imagine Biden wins tomorrow. Now imagine what more any other candidate on the Democratic debate stage could've achieved? Or, shit, literally anyone else the DNC could put forward. Biden can't get through a rally without the Republicans snipping at least one cringe clip out of the proceedings. Imagine the total landslide the Democrats would get had they a candidate which 1) could engage with the public throughout the year, and 2) DOESN'T announce toxic policy or make some deadly gaffe on the daily.
Trump's doing 5 rallies a day and yet Biden wins anyway? The GOP is officially dead. The signs were there in 2012, but they've since been buoyed by Trump's sheer will of personality. Without him they have nothing.
