Imagine Biden wins tomorrow. Now imagine what more any other candidate on the Democratic debate stage could've achieved? Or, shit, literally anyone else the DNC could put forward. Biden can't get through a rally without the Republicans snipping at least one cringe clip out of the proceedings. Imagine the total landslide the Democrats would get had they a candidate which 1) could engage with the public throughout the year, and 2) DOESN'T announce toxic policy or make some deadly gaffe on the daily.

Trump's doing 5 rallies a day and yet Biden wins anyway? The GOP is officially dead. The signs were there in 2012, but they've since been buoyed by Trump's sheer will of personality. Without him they have nothing.

The real question is what happens if Trump doesn't try again in 2024 in the event he loses or if he's reelected and he's termed out in 2024. What does the GOP do then?

I don't think he'll be able to try again in 2024. Once he's out of office, they'll bury him in frivolous indictments and lawsuits that all amount to " REEEEEEEE how DARE you! It was HER TURN!"

That is based off their free pool contest over the outcome of the election. Winner gets a share of $5000 (since there will likely be more than one winner).

As for Shapiro giving Trump his endorsement, he's not so much supporting Trump as much as he is taking away from Biden. He made it very clear that Biden has switched stances on nearly every topic of domestic policy that he supported in the past and has one of the worst foreign policy track records out there.

Honestly, Yang/Klobuchar would have made a more solid ticket. Klobuchar is also moderate enough to counteract Yang when he gets too 'out there's much like a current sitting president and his VP.

He is the best politician they ever had. european centrist and into latino would work very well in CA and most of the US.
Ca loved him because he was cool and green. you need to be green in CA, the state has twice as many people as it should have,,,

Holy shit the happenings election thread is a trashfire. I'd like to hope that the level of discourse in this thread is most indicative of how the post-election will be, but I have my doubts.

I really wish Biden hadn't gone nuclear option on every point, to at least give me some hope in case he gets elected. The only hope I have to fall back on is politicians falling short on their campaign promises.

Well, hopefully they don't do what the Democrats did and sit around with their thumbs up their asses for the next three years instead of actively finding and bringing along a few strong candidates. I'd like to think at least one of the parties can figure this simple concept out. :optimistic:
