I don't think this is that awful. It's well drawn and energetic, but still feel very, very derivative. Splatoon has a very interesting fan base to say the least.

Yeah, it is derivative. Even then, that makes one wonder about the fan base of Splatoon, especially in light of some DA horrors it has gotten.
Especially since the squid children are squids. They don't need some furry form and they pretty much grow up from looking like squids. They don't need some sparkle wolfdog furry form. One would also like to add to stop with the creepy fetishes as well, such as inflation and feet.
