Depends on what county your from, honestly. The counties on the I 95 corridor between Camden and Hudson counties are Dem country.
The South minus Cumberland and mayby Atlantic county is Red, and Atlantic and Cumberland flip flop and turn in weird results sometimes.

The far north is another red stronghold except for Bergen and Passaic county. Bergen is outside of Newark THE Democratic stronghold. Problem is for the Republicans is Bergen county is the most populous county in the state by far, in spite of not having any really big cities in it like a Newark or a Camden, it's a bunch of suburbs for people who can't afford to live in Manhattan.

That said, for all the talk of New York potentially going red, I don't see that happening until NJ flips. If or when that happens then NY is in trouble. But I don't think that's happening this cycle or anytime soon.
To avoid powerleveling that far, I'm in one of the non-red stronghold counties.

I've never voted because voting is for fags, but I voted for the first time this year. Trump catching the coof and then immediately kicking its ass is what inspired me to register. (I registered independent, since I don't want to be outed as a Trump supporter. I'm willing to bet that's a common thing too.)

When early voting started, I decided "fuck it, I'll just stay home". But the next day I got a campaign ad from my state's Democratic senate candidate in my mailbox. That pushed me to actually go out and vote R to personally deliver them a "fuck you".

So, It appears Nate (Colloidal) Silver is a FIFA sports-game fag. As if I needed any more reason to mock him.

The news casts I have seen are starting to look a lot like the 2016 Election at about 10:30 PM. There is a lot of nervous energy. A lot of "Biden has a lot of pathways to victory." If we are hearing this now, before the polls even close, this is going to be a fun night.

Prediction I'm 100% backing is that if Trump wins he's not going to win the popular vote and he'll be the first president to win an election both times but not the popular vote both times.
Nah, Trump's gonna win the popular vote too.
One of these two scenarios seems like the most plausible outcome.

I am especially amused that many leftists seem to sincerely believe that there is going to be some kind of Nuremberg-esque reckoning for Trump voters when Trump leaves office (in 2025). The implications of the fact that the man has literally tens of millions of extremely devoted supporters, many thousands of which have been jamming enormous venues in all kinds of bad weather to see him in person for years now, is entirely lost on these idiots. The idea that the mean righties are going to just flee in terror like all the orcs did after Sauron blew up is pure lunacy.
Just the other day I overheard a (surprise surprise white college age) girl saying "I am going to laugh when the FBI shows up to every Trump supporters house". That along with the dude that hangs out at my local nerd hang-out that claimed he makes notes about what houses have Trump signs, is worrying. People have gone straight up loony-tunes crazy over this shit.

Now we won't have federal agents kicking down peoples doors screaming "YOU ARE UNDER ARREST FOR THE CRIME OF VOTING ORANGE HITLER". But I do worry about the amount of people that seem like they are salivating at the idea of being able to persecute people either because "our side won now to finish off the Nazis" or "our side lost we are the revolutionary freedom fighters". I bet there is a significant overlap of people who screech endlessly about how Trump is going to be building concentration camp for trannys, and people who demand that all those red-neck Trumpist need to be hauled away to a government work camp or some such nonsense.

I suppose if you holocaust the holocausters before they can holocaust you can prevent the holocaust in their minds.

That’s fair, but this is a man who has Biden as a 69% favorite to win Florida. He’s a self absorbed pseudointellictual, but even he understands that if Trump takes Florida, the rest of his predictions don’t look so rosy, especially in the south.
He's literally a sports statistician, which is vastly different from analyzing data in politics, just based on the amount of data points being 1000x more common in sports than in elections.

Honestly, I'm getting less and less afraid of the TDS crowds. If they start having Truth and Recinciliation trials for rank-and-file Trump supporters, I'll give them the Elia Kazan treatment; I will say, "yes, I did vote for Trump twice. No, I am not pleading guilty, because I did nothing wrong or illegal, and I'm glad I did it. Go fuck yourself."

Seriously? I guess the riots there actually did something. I hated going there since it was so much like Portland, including the homeless.
Like I said, it surprised me! I saw more signage there than in Knoxville, but that may be because Knox County goes reliably red. Cookeville has at least three hilarious, massive Trump billboards on I-40 including a close up of that Hunter Biden pic where he looks passed out with a cigarette in his mouth.

I am still a registered Democrat because I backed Bernie in 2016 BECAUSE DUDE WEED LMAO. So I will miss the first round of gulag volunteers anyway.

He is also an astoundingly shitty sports statistician.

He’s not selling data journalism, he’s selling smug superiority to people who think they’re intelligent.

People really think that if Biden wins that glow-in-the-darks will really start harassing individual Trump voters at their homes? I swear, people like this really overestimate the power the federal government has. Also, doing that would be a losing strategy and any group that wants to retain their power should know that intimidation and harassment has the opposite effect on most people.

The other day, I saw someone on Twatter say he had "the best numbers in the business". I couldn't decide whether to laugh or sigh in incredulity.

"Let's disenfranchise and vilify the same people we say are armed to the teeth domestic terrorists with too much privilege! What could possibly go wrong?"

He should really be a fixture in the I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE compilations. His whole appeal is being le smrt numbers guy to that crowd and his entire reputation basically rides off of 2012.

That's what statistics is for most of the time. Only idiots act like statistics is the gold standard of knowledge, in reality it's something you resort to. We use it when we want to fool ourselves into thinking we're doing mathematics but we can't use probability theory.

All of the great sciences not only existed, but became extremely successful well before anything like null hypothesis statistical testing.
