How he handled the virus definitely contributed a lot to how the vote is more split this time around. If COVID didn't happen, I guarantee we would be seeing a similar Trump victory to last election.
It's a shame really, if he had just said something as simple as "wear the masks" and not made as big a fuss about it as he did for all those months then I think this election would've been called hours ago.

If Covid didn't happen, Trump likely barely wins. If Trump had done a better job of handling Covid, he'd have crushed Biden easily.

Biden winning would make the UK Government shit themselves as they expected a straightforward trade deal with Trump and with Biden stating that he won't do a deal if the UK government breaks the GFA with Northern Ireland so that's something to look forward too in the next coming months as either the UK sacrifices Northern Ireland to get a deal with US, doesn't bother with the deal or Biden lies and does a deal with the UK regardless with NI.

And I'm all for the UK getting another shafting, and by the US no less would make it sweeter.
