Lol Biden and Harris are going to back stab the progressives if they get in, which looks likely at this point. Imo a Trump victory would’ve been more damaging for the Democratic establishment and would put progressives in a position to topple them. Biden is going to be a less charismatic and cunning Bill Clinton. At most it’s going to be lip service. He’s one of the Democratic establishment and at this point he’s very malleable. They also aren’t going to do squat about citizenship either because it’s how they keep the Latinos in line.

I disagree...a Trump victory would push the progressive even farther left in validating their claims that if we just had Bernie everything would be golden.

Yep, and imagine if he had shut down everything for 2 months and then told congress to pass a law to give every 18+ citizen $2k a month for those 2 months. Then, in those two months, expanded access to testing and implemented policies that kept covid in check. He'd have run away with it.

I think people understandably just want things to go back to normal.

I understand that the whole forum is on emotions, but I still think that it is clearly not worth making premature conclusions right now. We do not know the real, complete voting results yet. It also would be superfluous to state about how badly the results could be falsified during the election.

I don't know. This feels different. Not "end of the world" different, but different. Say what you want about Trump, but there's never been a President quite like him. For four years, he reshaped a major political party in his own image. Once he's gone, I think there's a good chance that the GOP will be quickly absorbed back into the Uniparty.

Trump is doing the bare minimum he can to China. The entirety of his efforts boil down to tariffs, and blaming them for anything he can.
It is almost quite literally the political equivalent of saying "You just lost a customer!" To Wal-Mart, then taking to twitter to shit talk them. Trump is a lot of things, but he is not some sentinel of righteous anti-China fury.
