One of the major reasons that a Biden win would be bad is that this is the year the tech companies really stepped up their screwing around in the process. Monkeying with trends. banning. Altering search results. Forget Cambridge Analytica thats playground stuff compared to how directly they stepped in this year on behalf of Dems. Even with the increased recent attention it along with an unprecendented brazenly partisan media and the scale of coordination among the establishment is one of the great untold stories of the decade. A trump loss would basically show this all works and encourage them to double down on it.
Implying the right doesn't actively defend this behavior because muh private companies

He declared a soft victory last night (same as Trump) and will have a hard victory speech after the results are in. Then Trump takes him to court for rigging the election. Everybody believes they're the victim.
They always do that tho, except for Hillary who was the only cunt dumb enough to declare a hard victory before the results

And so ended the reign of the Trumperor, last of the great kings of the Murrika.

Winter is coming, and the darkies are rising.

But before you celebrate, think on it that the only powerful or successful countries in the world were white and yellow ones.

Welcome to the third world, 4 years early!

Demographics is destiny, and yours has arrived.

Yeah - but she didn't start a legal shitshow over it and eventually conceded. That is not happening with Trump. His campaign had already released a statement on the "red mirage" before ballot counting even began.

A lot of sperging in this thread.

In my neck of the woods, there's a lot of anxiety. On neighborhood listservs, TDS types are claiming the GOP stole the election, which is odd because Biden appears to be in the lead this morning. I get the sense I live in a different reality from my neighbors, and that's a little sad.

A few thoughts:

- There's not going to be a Civil War. Moderate Conservatives would have risen up to deal with ANTIFA by now, they just want things to get back to normal and are willing to put up with some stupidity along the way.

- There will be a lot of legal action. Watch for court cases in PA, MI, WI, AZ and NV. It's likely something really, really stupid will come out of it.

- SCOTUS will hear at least one of those cases. It may or may not decide the election.

- There's a better than average chance of 269 - 269 results. If that happens, the House decides who's President. That's how this works.

Wish I could offer some hope right now, but Communists destabilize systems by putting their people in place long ahead of time. Trump did a good job putting law and order judges in place, that might help to preserve Democracy as we know it. Right now, all I see is a bunch of dipshits looking to overthrow Democracy and a lack of political will to stand up for it. Comforts and Distractions are how Democracies die, somewhere along the line we lost the fear of losing our Rights. It's a strange new world.
