Yeah, I understand that sentiment on a national level. It's just hard for me on a personal level.

One of the other things that has been sad for me is the absolute level of proof that the left demands. For example, when Joe Rogan was forced to apologize because he "incorrectly" stated that Antifa was setting fires in Oregon. Keep in mind, several people had already been arrested for arson; I believe at least one of which was proven to be Antifa. But because the others weren't "officially" Antifa, they accused Rogan of lying. They just believed everything that Antifa believed, but they weren't IN Antifa.

It's like my favorite Politifact, where Trump was lying about Biden's policy on fracking because Trump quoted Biden, and Biden misspoke on his own policy. Therefore Trump was lying.

It's also hard when even when I somehow overcome that burden of proof, they just say "Fox talking point" and claim victory.

I post information directly from the CDC on COVID and they just claim that the CDC is in Trump's pocket and I need to be better informed.

At some point, I just need to stop beating my head against the wall. I'm not getting into politics, so why care so much?

My #2 rule about being not a lolcow is to just stop sperging out on social media. I think I've started to past that point, and I'm not even getting anything out of it.

Correction: the intelligence agencies (the CIA and the FBI) have been vigorously anti-Trump. I highly doubt that the DHS is nearly as openly compromised as the intelligence agencies are, and Trump can just fire those who flail around in their own bullshit. I'm sure @It's HK-47 knows this, and you should know this too.

an uneasy one, i dont see any leftist in my life that seems happy trump lost really, its hard to explain the vibe here in this blue area i dont see people cheering or being happy i see more concern that even from their perspective having to do this to avoid trumpers having a say means were fundamentally fucked as a country and have no power. i guess if i had to try to describe it its like seeing people happy to be freed from imprisonment only to realize theyre going back to serfdom

They have to do it in steps, first recounts, then challenging this or that batch of ballots in an attempt to get them tossed. Most of the cases will go nowhere and are filed literally every election. I think the best thing for people here to do is realize Biden is the next President, even if there is a 2 month long run of court cases.

Can't relate. I don't understand this "muh democracy" shit. What good is your democracy when the good guys lose and the bad guys win? Why is that good? Biden winning would be bad, what should I give a shit if the people made a bad decision or were fooled into it? If anything, people consciously choosing Biden is even worse.
