I've not heard Polka say that, but the Aloe incident, Janitors attacking Lamy and just herself really, have put her in a down mood. Her gen's the weakest gen sandwiched between Coco and the rest of gen 4 (all really good on their own merits) and HoloEN, who she desperately wants to be friends with.

@pleasegoaway A shill? No. But she probably is nationalist-Chinese aka pro-CCP like a lot of others. The only one that probably really loved Hololive was Yogiri.

I'll concur with all of this, Polka is very intelligent and obviously the hyperactive lunacy thing is an act. One of the reasons Polka is one of my faves is because of how honest she is, always posting heart-to-heart community posts and making real-talk with the fans.

But yeah her weaknesses are absolutely taking harsh criticisms to heart, and trying to do too much in a short amount of time. Obviously shortcomings from paranoia due to her past, unfortunately. I love her to death though and support her for all these reasons.

Hololive's got a bit of international drama. Nijisanji has domestic drama. HoloEN is still sky rocketing and people are exploring western vtubers. Pikamee's well liked, just not much to talk about atm.

VOMS as a whole tends to just be "they're enjoyable and fine." I don't watch any of them all that often (unless they collab with Roberu) but even then they just seem to be middle of the road, with Pikamee being a standout due to English fluency and moments like "Updog" and "Let's kill da ho."

Yeah, pikamee's english is much more bearable for me than coco's and she streams almost daily, it helps me stay awake during night shift. I like VOMS's simplistic design aswell.

She and Watame are both somewhat defeatist, and I only specifically think of her because I remember her consultation with Coco where she worried about the fact that even though she and Kanata debuted at the same time, Kanata was rising faster than her and she was worried it meant people didn’t actually like Watame no Uta as much as she’d hoped.

also, everyone always forgets Hanayori Girl’s Dormitory. They all sing really well.

Something i've noticed with Artemis' commentary was that she doesn't seem to say a lot of interesting things whenever she's playing games. I know that's a really vague description, but, take her Gitaroo Man stream for example. I watched a bit of it, and during gameplay she doesn't seem to be doing anything interesting beyond moving around. I really wanted to give her a chance, but i just don't really vibe with her.

To be fair though, it's hard for me to get invested in any other vtubers besides Hololive ones, because i've already devoted a lot of my attention to them and catching up to them via clips is much easier

Pikamee is entertaining, but in the absence of a big entity like Cover, I feel like she's collabing with anyone who will let her in an attempt to stay relevant.

Her growth with VOMS will be limited. But for a number of reasons, I don't see her leaving VOMS anytime soon. So spamming collabs might be her only way to maintain an audience.

Checking out the Gitaroo Man now, honestly I'll give her some benefit of the doubt on that. I think rhythm games are awkward since there's not a whole lot to say during gameplay, unless you want to sing along, and you can't pay any attention to the chat.

I really try to check out streamers like her to see what I might be missing. I'd personally feel like I'm being boring if I were her. Honestly I don't know how she has so little to say (outside of what I said about rhythm games) with how active her chat is.

i know at least one of the other participants is a mod for Pikamee, so I'm thinking maybe they set it up and begged her. I really don't think she needs their "help" at all. I said in another post she probably just feels obligated or thankful that they helped her.

Hopefully now that Coco is back she can give the two of them a pep talk and remind them that if no one actually cared, they wouldn't watch.

Dr Bug’s pretty well known for his weird fetish art tho, the Hololive content only really started after the Taiwan incident first surfaced.

In completely unrelated news, it seems like the bugmen have retreated from hlgg after the latter took down their hatesite. More when I wake.
