Was gonna ask if there's any who let rapists go with little to no consequences.

Small victory: None of the big-name FUNimation voice-actors are in the main cast of the new Higurashi anime, which was my biggest worry. They look to be B-team voice-actors from the newbie pool on the lower end of the totem pole since I don't know who the fuck they are anyway, though one might've been involved in Weeb Wars for all I know.
That said, don't have plans to check out the dub any time soon. Still am not jiving with the anime as-is anyway, a dub wouldn't change a thing, but at least the chances of me hearing Monica, Jamie, and/or any other of the gatekeepers every episode has gone down significantly.

I'm shocked but a majority of the Higurashi animes never got dubbed, only the first and it wasn't well received from what I can remember(mostly because while Higurashi works great as a game, not so much of an anime unless a lot of exposition or something easily overlooked until the big twist gets revealed is added and then everything makes sense).
Umineko(same creator) wasn't dubbed for the western release from what I remember either but I would have much preferred a 2nd season that wraps up the storyline for Umineko than to have another Higurashi anime, especially seeing as everything for better or for worse was told for Higurashi while the last ep of Umineko ended on a cliffhanger.

The anime took some stuff out due to time-constraints, but I didn't know about it until I looked more into the series over the years, so in my opinion, the anime handled it just fine. Geneon shat out the dub in a hurry, though, whether it was due to poor sales or because they were starting to dissolve and merge with Universal Pictures Japan at the time, I don't know. It's gained traction in popularity over time, though, so a dub has been growing in demand in the fandom. A redub preferably, but I don't think Sentai was ever interested in producing one.
Umineko bombed hard in Japan, so a second season was never going to happen. Depending on how Higurashi Gou goes, though, maybe we'll get a proper adaptation, and that may just be what they're going for. Fingers crossed.

While I'm sure Neutral Zone Studios might have some events scheduled for the remainder of the year, Cowtown Comic-Con sits as the last convention that Vic was scheduled for the year. We'll see if that changes.
