Not to mention that instead of having Chris actually try to socialize in school on his own Bob paid off people to be "friends" with Chris which was one of the contributing factors on why he feels like he's owed a "sweetheart" and anything else he desires.

Chris' parents being what they were decided against professional help for him, and the problem with psychological/psychiatric help is that unless a patent is a danger to themselves or society, no one can force them to seek professional help. Hell, one of the psychological records we have of Chris was thanks to his outburst in PVCC so I really doubt that Bard and Bob really would have had Chris be helped by anyone considering how they blamed everyone except for themselves who clearly did more long-lasting harm to Chris than the trolls ever had.

Part of it I think was autism was just starting to be diagnosed in a mainstream way in the early 90s and Bob being in his mid 60's at the time he might have though along the lines of 'Chris ain't going to no retard school!' or something.

I like the Megan emails as a prime example of just how utterly fucking boring Chris is as a person. Seriously, they're the most monotonous things I've ever seen someone type. He basically talked to her like she was his diary. "I went to the mall today. I watched some TV. Transformers is cool." He can't think of a single interesting thing to say. It was legit depressing to read and think this is a real person.
