Countrysides can exist without cities, but cities cannot exist without the countryside. Anyone who’s read world history should know rural areas developed first before becoming urban. Los Angeles used to be a farming town before it became huge.

The only thing that matters is how good Trump’s legal team’s argument is. Judges, even the most activist judge, are trained to be impartial in their thinking. And by that I mean if you hand them no real argument and just assume the truth to be so self-evident that they MUST rule in your favor, well look at the Lolcow LLC threads as to why that never works. The Judicial system functions on a narrative you weave before a judge that tries to come in with no preconception. Of course activist judges will just not listen no matter what, but they still frame their disagreement as “well, you just didn’t make a good enough case”. And the conservative justices are not automatically on Trump’s side. Nobody is owed a second term.

What I hope Trump argues is that this is an attempt at a purple revolution and make it explicit as to why more time and security are needed for recounts. This is not a hanging chad situation, this is a coup.

Last thoughts on Georgia for the night: Trump has it in the bag so long as more crates of Biden ballots aren't discovered. Someone else compiled this prediction based on ballots remaining:

Trump has a current lead of 1,267 votes. Biden will overtake him with a lead of 1,431. There are 8,899 outstanding, overseas military ballots to be counted. Current predictions are they break 80/20 for Trump. Trump needs to take the military ballots by ~58% to overtake Biden. 80% will leave Trump with a 3,900 vote lead which is fairly healthy heading into a recount.

This is why I’m grateful for Mitch McConnell for filling those judge seats that Obama was too lazy to do when he had the power to do so. Yes, judges are human and prone to mistakes like everyone else, but the shift in judges will hopefully help Trump.

If the courts are right, yes. But they slant "conservative" instead of originalist or whatever class they come from. The media will play this up and the ruling will still be contested.

They have no leg to stand on after the outright tomfoolery they have played. FOX calling AZ for Biden when less than half the votes counted? If they want to be mad, they have only themselves to blame.
