Whatever happens in this election if the Democrats and Republicans can't agree on a set of rules for elections that both accept and a process that allows both sides to 'trust but verify' the country is screwed in the long run. What happened at this election is not sustainable, no matter how much the Blue Checkmark brigade insist it is.

I hope for something better to come out of all of this. If elections like this are held like this from here on out, things will only get worse, until something even more catastrophic happens. I never wanted it to come to this and I would have accepted a Biden win if there wasn’t such obvious fraud. If they were cunning, they’d realize that losing with Biden is a better strategy than him squeaking by due to suspicious ballots. The RNC, despite all its faults, was able to take the L with Romney and regroup with midterms and 2016 election and eventually win. The longer the cheating goes on, the more people that will drop the DNC altogether, even if they get a better candidate to run than Biden next time.

To be fair, the Republican Party had to be dragged kicking and screaming into supporting Trump, and it happened only after every single bland, toothless neocon they threw into the primaries flopped.

They were probably very confident because of Covid-19 undoing a lot of the things he did regarding jobs and unemployment, as well as the general rhetoric, maskfags and fear instilled in people. A sweep would mask any electoral malarky well under the guise of a "blue wave" flipping states. When it's this close to the wire, electoral malarky has to be done carefully. Instead it's done in such a way that casts doubt all over it.
