To be honest elections has been a whole shit fest for a long time. At a young age we arent taught to care about who we vote for or how to properly do research. We have been expected to look at our screens and to run with whatever evidence is slapped in our face. Dont even get me started on political parties. It feels like a fucked up sporting event. The less informed just pick their favorite color and the smart are tricked into compromising for whoever is even remotely similar to their beliefs and needs. (Mainly beliefs because why would we care about what we actually need). At the end politics need money and a dem/rep sticker on their asses and we have our top candidates. They get the seat, do below the minimum, get paid then run a second run for a good check. Rinse, cycle,repeat.
