People being able to vote for smaller candidates without making it more likely the person they least want to win will win makes it so more people can run more diverse campaigns on platforms that aren't based entirely on "I'm not the other guy, he's bad" or "I'm like you, promise", win a few seats, gain awareness and traction, and secure more funding for more campaigns next election. There is literally no benefit to FPTP that other voting systems don't also have, unless you think a two-party system is a good thing for some reason, or you currently benefit from the said two-party system, but even then, you can still have two dominant parties in other voting systems if that's REALLY what the people want, so it's literally pointless. It's just the simplest system to explain, so everyone assumes that means it's the best.

The fine print from Trump's "Stop the steal" post-election fundraiser campaign states half the money collected can be used to settle his campaign debts and not just for legal aid for his court bullshit.

He's literally going to grift as much as he can from his idiot base who regurgitates his fraud claims until he's square up and then just fucking bounce and leave ya'll high and dry. Concession after his debts are paid.

Honestly I can't imagine being this stupid but I guess I've never joined a cult.

Evidence is quickly racking up that something is fucky, intentional or not. The only question now is whether the Supreme Court actually has the balls to make a decision that might change the result. I don't think they will unfortunately, Roberts especially seems allergic to making any decisions that might disrupt the status quo.

Same thing, but with my Baby Boomer mother. Now I’ll have to deal with her still watching MSNBC/CNN all week while she pretends that she knows about how Pennsylvania and Georgia works when she was always a city girl working in New York.
