I actually really liked this video. It felt like we got a genuine look at Nyk's way of thinking. Annoying and self absorbed as Nyk can be, he is interesting to learn more about and this felt more raw than any of his scripted post-transition videos.

One thing that did stick out was that Nyk seems to think there is a big divide between how men are and how women are. He does try to correct himself and say something like there are many ways to be a man or a woman but I think that was only after hearing himself.

I wish they could have covered Nyk's internalised homophobia. I really think this is the reason he transistioned as he talks about wanting to wear women's clothes but that he doesn't want to be seen as an ugly transexual. Nyk's internalized strong gender roles mean that he can't be comfortable being seen as a feminine man, unless he is drunk or it's a joke. He can only be a manly man or a womanly woman. The idea of a being comfortable as a feminine gay man with both male and female qualities isn't there, only ugly transexuals like the ones he used to post videos of to laugh at.

Nyk needs to stop trying to be a woman or some other identity and just be himself. He seemed a lot more happy in his old videos where he accepted he was a man that liked wearing dresses.

I've read this in the Nyk thread several times and strongly diagree that Nyk is gay.

There are several reasons to think he's just your average autogynephile.

1) Fucked up childhood. Typical for autogynephiles.
2) Nyk knows that men don't have it that easy in life, even though he has to espouse know the idea of male privilige. But as far as I know his "philosopher's career path" was early stopped, one reason for it is because he was a white straight cis-man.
3) All autogynephiles start as crossdressers, so this isn't unusual as well. Nyk started his Contrapoints shtick with crossdressing and his fans, of course, loved it. The modern woke left, however, doesn't think that gender nonconforming man can exist, so they pushed the idea of "Nyk is actually trans!" very early on.
4) Nyk was at the beginning just your average breadtuber: straight, male, white, affluent, retarded (diversity!). His philosopher's carrer was already demolished, so he must have known that transitioning will advance him quite far in the progressive stack (Every attack is transphobia!) . He of course couldn't have known then that enbies are even higher in the progressive stack.
5) It's normal for autogynephiles to become "less straight" when they transition. So it wouldn't surprise me if Nyk suddenly would take a cock up his ass (or after the snip in his wound). It's suspicious, however, that Nyk's hot nights with the boys are just all hear-say. Let's look at the potential affairs Nyk might have had:

Theryn ("A man", but passing enough that Nyk could fuck Theryn in the ass without feeling gay)

Niki is aggressively defensive of her alcoholism and claims that being able to drink is a "professional necessity", rather than an occupational hazard. Niki likes Nyk because Nyk is an alcoholic too so he understands her. Niki never stops to think whether it's her drinking that gets her in situations with men she doesn't want to be in.

Many have pointed out that Contrapoints quite obviously gets off to his own self-patholigization, hence why he tends to talk about himself so much. This is sort of inherent to human psychology, but when a troubled individual like Nyk is exposed to e-celeb quantities of attention, it's completely exasperated. His upbringing is not as dramatic as he'd like, though. Not nearly fucked up enough to justify his self-pathologization, alcoholism, and life direction. So he fabricates trauma, with the most obvious example being "gender dysphoria". I strongly believe that GD is never genuine, and by that I mean it's not related to any other mental illness besides BPD or Narcissism. In this case, Contra needs a justification for his transition, alcoholism, and other mental illnesses. The obvious cope here being gender dysphoria.

Gender Dysphoria is commonly used by gender non-conforming individuals and internalized homophobes, but this is definitely not Nyk. The more "classical" transsexuals tend to have genuine issues with their gender/sexuality (still not worth transitioning), yet Contra's motives are more an excuse for the state of his own mental health. As a gay man myself I've become quite apt to spot individuals struggling with their sexuality, and Nyk has never once tipped me off. He is a mentally ill individual who has been spiraling since his late teens.

I disagree with that. I've seen on here and on social media of HSTS definitely displaying similar behavior to AGPs. Stealing their female relative's clothes and masturbating into them, or getting off while wearing them, getting "euphoria" of thinking themselves as hot women, believing that they get periods or they're actually intersex, believing that they literally become female after transitioning, demanding that society pays for their surgeries....you get the picture. They really aren't that different, just that HSTS are typically more quiet and try to blend in better than the AGPs, and aren't all about stomping down actual women, though they still do have a sense of rage and superiority over women (found this out from a HSTS that I knew when I was younger), especially when they have to compete for men with them.
