You know what it reminds me of? I don't want to derail the thread too hard.

It's like we all assume corporations and businesses have all the power in an employer-employee relationship, then people get pissed off when the employees have any leverage to negogiate.

I cannot tell you the number of times I've heard "he/she should be grateful just to have a job!"

Corporations can fire us any time they want, yet we are expected to have undying loyalty to the company no matter what until they hand us a pink slip.
Well you can thank this man for creating this hell

I still find it amazing that Boris Johnson won the snap election with the biggest majority for his party in ages and then proceeded to do absolutely fuck all with it. You would think he would be a go getter or take a page out of Blair's book and ram changes completely unopposed. He is by far the biggest disappointment I have seen for a while.
he was truly a fabian puppet to the end.

After this year, I think my faith in (a large portion) of Americans is greatly diminished. Seeing them riding bikes and walking around with face diapers for months on end, with no pushback whatsoever, has made me think some people are just too far gone.

Welcome to 2008-2012. Those Americans have been here for years. The people who will ignore financial catastrophe, gross incompetence, and ramming through legislation with 75% popular disapproval just because a guy's skin color makes them feel tingly.

Imagine the Founders trying to start and operate a republic with a population who goes into meltdown over toilet paper shortages.

Is anyone else getting the YouTube channel Erynith recommended to them constantly? Ever since the election started, she’s been having her community tab show up to people which is filled with left wing memes. I’ve seen some people in the comments say they’ve blocked her numerous times, but she still keeps showing up.
I assume it might be through the recommendation of her relatively popular Dark Souls meme videos rather than through her community posts - although I have seen people comment that her community posts keep showing up.

But she barely makes them now. It’s always her community videos. There’s even a conspiracy in her comments that YouTube itself is pushing them, in light of the election. Because most of the people seeing her stuff never heard of her before.

It took me until today, but I finally realized that yes my friends do in fact take Politifact as gospel.

It's amazing how strong the "appeal to authority" is.

Then they accused me of picking and choosing only the facts that I liked.

Also, they are dead serious that once something is "corrected", then it's a conspiracy theory to mention it. The 200% in Wisconsin? Already debunked. Massive spike in Michigan? Already debunked.

Like, they can't even give a "it looks interesting but I don't believe it." They keep telling me to look in the mirror because TRUMP IS THE WORST PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME!!!!!

Good point. Then when I posted the Politifact that Biden said the same thing with Fracking I was called a nut because Politifact MUST BE RIGHT!
Welcome to my world. Some people are insanely brainwashed. You should just blindly trust mainstream media and masks are for the greater good or that Trump literally killed 6 million troons. You can't get anywhere with these people and now I know why people were so complicit with having their neighbors cattlecared. They literally believed in the greater good, not that they were too afraid to speak out. Terrible.

It seems like the outright lies are creating a bifurcation. There are people who are seeing what's going on and disputing the fraud, even boomers, while others will eat the media narrative.

Oh certainly. I have little doubt many people - not just his support base specifically - noticed since that night in Wisconsin that shit was weird. Error or not, fraud or not, they want answers BUT are quickly shut out from any space where they might harm the narrative.

I think a year or so back, I started a thread on this very subforum where I wanted to know if people inherently wanted most aspects of their lives controlled and directed for them. I realized only too late that I should have made distinctions. Obviously we all crave stability and civilization is ultimately just a big rejection of Jungle Law, that's not control.

But now I absolutely believe there are so many broken, infantile people out there who would be content to reject any notion of their own personal agency or risk something that can rot and fail them. The government is the cornerstone of how society around them operates and moves; hence they suck their thumbs and go to sleep comfortable with the idea that it will never fail them and will always keep them safe.

I just cant figure out what this "cope war" thing is. Every single post, cope cope cope.

I was one of the biggest Trump Kiwi Spergs of 2016. I was truly loving the culture. I refused to go to sleep until that race was called. A Hillary win would have been devastating to me.

But this time? Meh, you gave me 76 fucking hours to accept this. I havent shed one single tear, one horrific Social Media screed, I have just been continuing to go to work and live my life.

Good for Joe Biden. Really. I just hope the 47 years of practice and experience can work on a senile person.
